Veganism is the diet of the future. And contrary to popular belief not all vegans talk and talk and talk about it. My mom is a vegan and she hates mentioning it when going out to eat because she says people always roll their eyes or say something about some extremely annoying vegan they heard of or know.
Personally I am proud to be vegan though, and have no issue letting anyone know about why.

Vegan here. Why do more people talk about my diet than I do? I had a friend joke about how I was "one of those types who never stops talking about it" then I pointed out that he, and everyone we both know besides the person who first told them, all learned about this status from a friend of mine who I was talking to about it. This /meme/ is perpetuated by people who aren't vegans aimed at vegans. I knew vegans before I made the change that never said anything about it, they just didn't eat out a lot.

There are fucking nutrients in ordinary grass that we need, but humans do not have the digestive system to handle it.

I understand the moral argument for it, and I don't entirely disagree, but some vegans take it too far and equate eating meat to the literal murder of other humans. Animal cruelty is a horrible thing, but people cruelty is worse, and eating meat is in no way comparable to murder.
I'm not a vegan but it's a good lifestyle diet for sure. A vegan is a disciplined person in a way, but hunting is sacred and meat doesn't HAVE to be not eaten. I've been vegan for about 18 years. No health problems, no regrets. Initially did it out of compassion for the animals (factory farming is a sociopath's wetdream, look into it you gore/torture fans), but I've grown to realize that eating dead animals is basically a nigger-tier diet for lower races too stupid to grow crops (see: sub-Saharan Africa, such as Zimbabwe). White and Asian master-races should move away from corpse-eating. It's beneath us. It's also completely unsustainable, both economically and agriculturally; raising livestock is an incredible waste of resources, on a planet where water and land grow scarcer each year.
Mainstream media goes out of their way to denigrate vegans. Latest example is the vegan who died trying to climb Mt. Everest--- everybody pointed their accusatory little jewish fingers and shouted "VEGAN DIET MADE HER DIE"; a logically fallacious argument as tens of thousands of meat-eaters have died trying to climb Everest. It's a dangerous expedition regardless of one's diet.
People get really threatened by the IDEA of veganism--- I don't tell people, but whenever they figure it out (because I'm not ordering a burger or whatever) they immediately start talking about "muh protein" and "muh B12" and other such 1950's-era nutritional psuedoscience. They feel like they have to defend themselves just because someone doesn't want rotting corpses in their intestines.
I think on some subconscious level, people are afraid that veganism will "take away their food". It's primal, like when you nudge your dog's bowl while he's eating, and he growls at you. Like dogs, people are mostly dumb as fucking rocks, and don't realize that vegan diets taste just fine, and eliminiate the number-one cause of death, Heart Disease.
