Is it acceptable or degenerate to convert to Christianity from atheism for the women? Let me explain.
My liberal college town is a wasteland of over-"educated" man-hating feminists, single mothers and coal burners. Seriously, half the women here are going around with blacks. It's sad and disgusting. I just want to find a traditional woman who values commitment over drunkenness and debauchery. I know that the best place to find a woman like this is in church but I am an atheist.
Is it advisable for me to try and convert myself to Christianity for the women? I hear there are a lot more single women than men there (because men use their logical brains, duh). If I found a nice, traditional white woman there perhaps with time my heart would overcome my brain and I would believe. That or I could dutifully attend for family and community, keeping my mouth shut about any doubts.

I'm in this pickle as well. But to add to the problem;
1) It's nearly impossible to find right-winged, atheist women ANYWHERE. I've never met even a single one.
2) I know two high IQ conservative Christian girls in my area who are both high estrogen and high IQ and come from good families and are in a position to settle down soon (one is baptist, one is evangelical). And they're both interested in me. I could probably easily convert and marry one of them and be popping out babies within a year if I wanted.
3) My dad's side of the family is ridiculously atheist and hate Christians.
4) I really don't believe the religion at all.
5) I don't particularly want to constantly lie about believing in a sky-deity.

OP, I would say find someone who has the values you want, but I am even wary to suggest this. Consider that the woman you desire is a product of a Christian environment (apparently, you wouldn't consider going to church if that wasn't the case). You are a product of atheism, which there is nothing wrong with supporting, but you see what it has done to the values that women have. Ask yourself, you get this nice Christian girl, you'll try to convert her (I haven't seen any atheist try not to), maybe be successful, and potentially raise kids in an atheist environment. Unfortunatly, your kids have the same problems you see in an atheist environment,your son isn't happy and your daughter is a basket case. Your son does what you did, finds a Christian girl, and repeats the cycle.
Is this sustainable? Is the Christian faith, despite its flaws, manages to produce humans with good qualities that we all look for. I ask you to find that one good atheist girl and prove me wrong (and I hope I am) but barring that, leave her faith alone and raise your children as Christians and bury your beliefs deep down in your heart.

I know I probably shouldn't rush into things but I honestly want to settle down ASAP. I'd love to have kids and want to have a huge family, and that requires starting young and will ultimately probably be impossible without converting.

Sometimes I pretend to be christian. Christianity tends to teach "no sex before marriage" (even though that is nowhere to be found in the bible), but you can generally get BJs or the occasional anal. Some just don't follow that 'rule' as well. I haven't been a christian for close to a decade, I grew out of it, but I can pretend. Also, because I know a lot about the religion I can pretend with relative ease. That said, in my experience, atheists tend to know a lot more about christianity than christians, because they've probably actually read the bible (which is likely part of why they are no longer christians - the quickest way to deconvert someone is to let them see all of the religion in question's beliefs).

Personally I don't believe someone like you can cultivate any faith in Christianity--you've apparently made up your mind a long time ago.
