If Norway is just passable that means Greece is about minus 35333833636.

Writing this in a broken down building with half the lights working and half a signal bar while standing watch securing a few hundred G3A3s of the Greek army which are all locked with a 2 euro lock.

That's almost Rwanda tier fyi.

I give NZ a 5.

Were got similar problems to Norway t b h. Small population nearing 5 million spread out across the country roughly the size of the UK or Japan. Same small populatoon means not a big tax take. Also mountains and ruvers in the way of everything. Also have to account for earthquakes, volcanoes and the fact we are split down the middle by a wide treacherous channel of water over a kilometre deep.

Yet despite this what we do have works well. All the stuff that you expect on a base level is there, roads, housing, rail, ports, airports, industry, well educated well behaved population, transperancy on all levels. Just don't expect to be able to drive everywhere on 6 lane motorways, or catch a bullet train across the country.

>Sydney in 2016
Roads are jammed packed to hell and back, people are impatient, takes 3x longer to get somewhere, state government builds more roads to 'ease' traffic which end up getting jammed in 2 months. New suburbs are placed right next to roads that are jammed, and the state government doesn't do anything, but when they do, it takes years just to add an extra lane to both sides

2/10.

> Pristine drinking water
> Roads are in good condition and we have plenty

> Unlimited internet, semi-slow speed, 15-20$ a month

9/10 pretty satisfied with how my tax money have been spent
>>
>>78220897
Well when you put it that way I wonder.

We have perfect and steady water supply, great sewage, all cables in urban areas are buried and partially buried in rural areas.

4g coverage in all of the country as well, and relatively cheap unlimited 30 mbps up and down speeds in my rural town in northern norway.

Reason I ranked it so low was because the road network is extremely shitty. Cracks and potholes (although it's gotten better in recent years). Most small municipalities in the north (like I live in) usually have just one road connected to the rest of the country.

Almost no motorways and shitty traffic in most cities as well as terrible connections between cities. Oslo-bergen for example even has some parts of it where the roads can't fit two cars.

>>78214702

Roads:
NYC: 1/10
Middle Class Burbs: 3.75/10
Upper Class Burbs: 8+/10
Overall: 4/10

It's pretty bad desu
The roads are really horrendous, although the interstate roads tend to be relatively good even if they havent been redone in many years. The biggest problems with the roads, at least in New York, is that they use so much goddamn salt in the winter and if there's a 1/10 of an inch of snow on the ground, the plows start plowing because the city & town officials go into a fucking hysteria. The plow drivers dont give a fuck and go hard as fuck on the pavement and completely ruin brand new pavement. In the spring time youll need to replace your tires because the pavement is completely ruined. Well, at least there's more work to re-new the roads to contract! Thank you based Keynes and your dig a hole, fill it up, and dig the same hole again theory of economics, you fucking cunt

Since this country is so big, trains will always be second tier compared to European & certain asian countries. LIRR/Amtrak is still literally 1920s tier, although relatively efficient. Subways in NYC are efficient, but pure trash - hot, stinky, smell like shit, hobos, tunnels are gross etc. Air service is very good to be fair

Pic related - the greatest tragedy to ever happen on American soil is when some cunts decided to knock down the original Penn Station & build a fucking rat's lair in its replacement. Makes me so mad to even think about it, and I think about it everyday, as I pass through it twice a day. (Reeeeeee)

It's pretty good/5

Why is it so bad in Norway though? Is it because of the mountains?
>>
>>78229542
It's bad because of politics, basically. Norway built many of its road before we found oil in the 70s. So that meant we had pretty rugged, shitty roads to begin with. That has made it very hard to rebuild them as it is quite expensive, and some routes are the only route to use, so people can be shut in if there is road construction.

Now in the 21st century roads are hardly being built because of red tape, where the inefficient bureaucracy is keeping anything from being built other than 10 kilometers of motorway at a time following ridiculously counterintuitively high standards, like fully lit motorways with wired fences for all and entire stretches.
