>Be radical, have principles, be absolute, be that which the bourgeoisie calls and extremist : give yourself without counting or calculating, don't accept what they call 'the reality of life' and act in such a way that you won't be accepted by that kind of 'life', never abandon the principle of struggle. -Julius Evola

The purpose to uphold tradition is to emphasize the need for a high culture. This avant garde will serve as refuge so that the cycle of political power may proceed but not curtailed by regressive values. To become a traditionalist is the act of educating oneself with a rather extensive amount of literature about the importance of inequality, hierarchy, and moral authority. Monarchies and Aristocratic Republics welcome you with broad and unshakable arms as even we know no policy will ever be perfect. To usher in the next age of tradition is an honor as it only comes around when moral degeneracy is at its height.

Agreed however not as simplified for all cultures. Some have shown a tenancy to regress for awhile and stave off the oncoming collapse or change.

The most interesting part I find about feminism is how it glorifies taking privilege away from females and turning them away from the natural dignity of their sex.

Establish objectively "high culture" as opposed to "not-high culture".

The lectures of Orthodox priest and philosophy and history professor Matthew Raphael Johnson, on Youtube or at Archive dot org, are an invaluable pillar to Occidental traditionalism.

Internet memes and 4chan "culture" is the exact opposite of high culture. The very nature of anonymous internet forums is anti-traditional. Take it from there.
>>
>>78118516
The only reason I am posting in this thread is to let you know, OP, that I am with you. I am a traditionalist.

To me, traditionalism is less about the past and more about rejection of modern values to create a better future, one that has a foundation in the values known to work.

A high culture can be used to describe a set of cultural products (architecture, art, music) that is held in the highest esteem by the culture. The idea of upper class and aristocracy that lead the culture because they are able to throw money at artists for the purpose of creation.

For example the large amount of art that came out of the medieval ages simply because the Church held the most money. Or the architecture of Rome and Greece because of their prosperity.

>>78120046
the irony is that us internet scum are the lowest of the low , we're just peasants who happened to read about the higher culture of the past
>>
>>78119977
Why is that "not-high culture"? You've just asserted it is, without establishing what exactly makes something objectively "high-culture".
>>
>>78120095
If the masses can access it easily it's not high. Anything spewed by strangers on the Internet cannot truly be high culture. It might have been the high culture of the past
>>
>>78120046
>that is held in the highest esteem by the culture
A culture is a group of people? Or are you saying an abstract has a consciousness by which it is capable of holding something else in esteem?
>>
>>78120149
Who are the masses?
>>
I'm wondering, how does a traditionalist reconcile with the fact that anonymous internet forums, and really the Internet in general is extremely anti-traditional and bascially the most base form of egalitarianism?

If you really think about it, woudn't a strictly moderated forum actually be more representative of a more traditional community?

It seems you trivialize the idea of being anon. Yes it means we can talk about anything and post anything from gore to ponies. However cultural discussions are still relevant and are a sort of break from the madness of it all. /int/ is one board that can bring people together for that reason.

Even on /b/, the worst board we have, every once in awhile there will be a nice thread that is actually thought provoking. The idea of these common threads is to provide contrast.

Then out spake brave Horatius,
The Captain of the Gate:
"To every man upon this earth
Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods."
