How do young people afford property in cities nowadays? It's actually ridiculous.
My boomer parents have like 4 properties in various cities (Hong Kong, London, Vancouver) and I can't even afford one until im 35.

People commute to work from where property is actually affordable. Living in a city is retarded. I doubt that's really an option in Hong Kong.

Well I could live in Discovery Bay or Sai Kung (or any of the dark blue bits) I guess but that would mean a public transport marathon (1 hour at least) twice a day. I can't afford a car and driving lessons atm.
I currently live in the CBD.
Lol im just finding this out too OP.
26, sister is 31 and '"'lives"' NEAR vancouver at a government job she basically had to win the lottery to get. She has a Masters of science and a certification in her field.
She has 30 year mortgage on a shoebox with a down payment made by dad which she has to pay back. After expenses she can barely afford basics.
She's strapped in for life.
