Assad needs to close all his borders. The war will never end if he doesn't. Most of the "rebels" and IS aren't even from syria. Stop the flow of weapons and fighters in and stop the flow of oil out. The kurds have the right idea in the North. After they finish up in Manbij they will be moving on to Al Bab.
>>
Is it true that ISIS beat the fuck out of the SAA today?
>>
>>78103709

The reports of SAA being traped, SAA being BTFO, SAA retreating, not one knows
>>
>>78103214
Well the original source of those reports were from those Russians somewhere close to the frontline that talked to the Syrian troops who were in those fights. But those SAA troops are probably quite shell shocked and the fog of war hasn't settled yet.

~100 KIA sounds more reasonable honestly. Don't you expect they to not massage the figures?

>>78113239
It doesn't look like any single power has the capacity to take on ISIS right now. They've lost territory (mostly in the north) but they're likely to be around for a long while longer. They just manged to do some serious damage to the SAA,
>>
>>78113543
Yeah they have, they lost that tank a few weeks ago.
>>
>>78113675

SAA have plenty T-90 in all fronts, even in East Ghouta, Tiger Forces is preparing a attack in Anadan Plains, not in Al-Mallah Senpaitachi or even Handarat Camp
>>
>>78111044
They knew the sandstorm was coming. They knew ISIS is always more active in assaults during sandstorms. They knew they had to pull back into areas that were not so over extended.
Sounds like a failure of communication somewhere.
Pulled out the work horses and either didn't tell the others to pull back, or they didn't get the message to.
It takes a special level of incompetence to leave a regiment behind by accident.
There's always the issue of good old arab egos. They may not have wanted to listen to the Russians telling them to pull back and tried to keep the territory they had spent the past few weeks bleeding and dying to gain.
With any luck, the commanders responsible died in the field.

Oh well. One lost battle doesn't end a war.
>>
>>78113821
Look, the tank was confirmed lost by tiger forces. I don't know what more to tell you.

After the dust settled, it wasn't THAT bad what happened in Raqqa (not as bad as 100+ KIA, T90s captured, etc...)
20+ KIA is the usual death toll in every daily battle when things don't go as planned for the SAA.
How many KMs did ISIS recovered in this blitz? 10? 15? It's not like the SAA is back at Ithriya.

Sometimes is painfull to support the SAA...man most of them are shit.

I say 20k, 10k if they send VDV and other elite troops with good equipment (TOS1, T90s, Uragans, etc...) and with enough air support.
During the ceasefire, jihadists/turkshits SF moved most of their fighters to Aleppo increasing their manpower to at least 10k just around Aleppo (south and north). This was known to the SAA but they still decided to launch the Raqqa offensive...

“In Russia there comes the hope of the world, not as that sometimes termed of the communistic, or Bolshevik, no; but freedom, freedom! That each man will live for his fellow man! The principle has been born. It will take years for it to be crystallised, but out of Russia comes again the hope of the world.”
(Edgar Cayce, 1944, No. 3976-29)

Europe is as a house broken up. Some years ago there was the experience of a mighty peoples being overridden for the gratification and satisfaction of a few, irrespective of any other man’s right. That peoples are going through the experience of being born again, and is the thorn in the flesh to many a political and financial nation in Europe, in the world… Q. What is the name of that nation referred to? A. Russia! (3976-8)” [Source]

Cayce was asked, “What should be the attitude of so called capitalist nations toward Russia?”

On Russia’s religious development will come the greater hope of the world. Then that one, or group, that is the closer in its relationships, may fare the better in the gradual changes and final settlement of conditions as to the rule of the world. (3976-10)

Six months later, additional information was presented which helped to clarify this earlier prediction.

Out of Russia, you see, there may come that which may be the basis of a more world wide religious thought or trend… (3976-12)

When Hugh Lynn Cayce asked about the Russian situation in June 1938, he was told:

A new understanding has and will come to a troubled people. Here, because of the yoke of oppression, because of the self indulgences, has arisen another extreme. Only when there is freedom of speech, the right to worship according to the dictates of the conscience—until these come about, still turmoils will be within. (3976-19) [Source]

How big losses they got? Any confirmed numbers?
No one knows what the plan exactly was. All I know is that they were cautious and afraid of being encircled in the desert. That's what the russian dude said on some video last week.
>>
>>78134385
we'll have to wait...
for now we only know they left a regiment behind...
that coud have happened by accident or because they plan a counter attack soon...

i don't think the casultie numbers that float around right now are reliable as we don't know how the "forgotten" regiment is doing or how many people they really lost by retreating that fast...

>>
Syrian military command being shit as usual. Don't know why they thought advancing for miles along a single desert road was sustainable. No wonder Hezbollah are getting sick of fighting these kinds of battles.

>>78135242
Unless it's republican guard, a regiment doesn't mean anything in terms of numbers, especially with foreign groups. It could be 50 soldiers, 100, 1000, who knows.
>>
>>78108332
Well rumors say, that the catastrophe just happened yesterday with the desert falcons and marines retreating after dozzens of vbied attacks by the IS, who magically always dinds ressources to throw into saas face. They did not cover thenflanks of the regular units anymore and they were coteled.
though newer sources speak of an organized retreat, so who knows. I also wonder what the fuck the russian airforce was doing.
>>
>>78135716
I guess the sandstorm is grounding the RuAF in Raqqa

While they are attack formations, i never claimed to use them in defense. I said for counter attack. The saa had agiant oppening in latakia just a week ago, but the falcons wers bojnded on the tabqa road and the tigers in north aleppo, if they had pressed their advantage there, nusra would have had to move troops immideatly leaving oppenings in south aleppo. Now all this time and manpower was wasted and latakia is stable again.
these openings are really rare somnow we can watch 2 months of tigers losing a t 90 for every house they take.
