Why the hell is Canadian government so controlling? There is a lot of example but in particular I am speaking about raw milk.

I envy the fact that in the states you can buy raw milk if you like, you are given that choice.

I dont understand why we arent allowed to have that choice? Literally no reason to ban or outlaw it.
>>
>>78070743
Big daddy government has to protect us.
>>
>>78070743
Dairy jews like saputo and the Canadian dairy commission have control over that they don't want unpasteurized or American dairy coming in to Canada cause if they let it happen business and restaurants wouldn't have to pay there insane markup on milk I currently pay 9.06 for a 4L of homo for my restaurant
>>
>>78070743
>3$ for 2 quarts of something less processed
>a gallon of pasteurized milk is 3$ here
must be those jews trying to ruin milk for the white man
>>
>>78070743
Can you not buy it from farms? I thought it was the same with non-preserved wine, where you can buy it from the vineyard, but they aren't allowed to ship it to stores, as it would/could spoil, and you'd have no idea if the product you bought was toxic.
>>
>>78070743
I thought raw milk was illegal for sale in the US for health reasons. You can still drink it, you just can't buy it.
I.e. get your own cow or make friends with a farmer.

I bet you're against fluoride in our water, too, right?

Great! The Government banned it from cleaning our water mains 35 years ago.
>>
Raw milk is illegal in a lot of parts of the US. You can buy it for animals or at a farm but I think the only state that sells raw milk at stores is California
>>
>>78071860
You can do that in the UK but Canadian farmers are not allowed to sell directly to people.
>>
>>78070743

The US government is very controlling as well, but we are 10-15 years behind the rest of the west. It's all thanks to our constitution & American attutide, both of which are dying.

Your retarded if you think raw milk is better than processed milk in anyway.

I lived on a farm with cows and would rarely drink raw milk, shit is gross and you will get sick. Clean milk is literally an engineering miracle, and its gud m8
>>
>>78071985
a lot of local farms will sell "shares" of a cow which allows you and others to own part of a cow and technically you are just drinking your own milk.
>>
>>78071860
You probably could if you knew the farmer. But not that long ago there was farmer in southern Ontario who found a loop hole, and was selling "half" cows to people, meaning, people were buying shares on his cows, because if you own a cow you are allowed raw milk.

Anyway this didnt last long and I remember reading about how his farm got raided lol and the whole thing got shut down, and laws put up..

Nah, I'de rather pay half that for a full gallon of cancer milk
>>
Due to the nature of obtaining cow's milk it can involve a lot of pathogens humans do no want to consume, sometimes including feces getting into the production line. So the milk is pasteurized to kill off any bacteria which may linger in the milk ensuring something that could kill you now has absolutely no possible way to kill you via simple consumption.

Drinking raw milk is for morons and those with a death wise. I'd suggest you do so at your own peril. Personally I don't mind that it's made illegal. It's illegal for the same reason selling cake mix laced with cyanide is illegal, it's a product that could kill someone.

I honestly hope food regulation shit is expanded into energy drinks. That shit is lethal too.

> probiotics in (raw) dairy survive into the gut

so do listeria, e. coli, and salmonella

also, assuming you're talking about lactobacillus:

https://skeptoid.com/episodes/4383

> "Lactobacillus is a bacterium found in our bodies, and also found in cow's milk. Lactobacillus does help with our digestion and the conversion of sugars to energy. And, it is killed by pasteurization. While some raw milk advocates raise alarm over this, there's no need. Lactobacillus thrives and reproduces itself inside our bodies. There is no need to drink milk to get it."

Sorry I meant keep disease from sitting on shelves too long and keeping back a large outbreak on a massive amount of cows in an industrial setting, regardless of cleanliness. It's mainly a "watch our asses" principle.

There was also support for raw milk written in the London Medical Journal, Armchair Science in 1938:
http://www.realmilk.com/health/raw-milk-vs-pasteurized-milk/

There were also studies done on raw milk explaining why it's good:

>regulation keeps people from illness

People still die from illness due to poisonous and contaminated food, where was your regulation then? Oh shit, it was there. Nevermind.

>regulation keeps weapons out of the hands of terrorists

Top kek.

>engineers are dumbass and cut corners to finish their work quicker

Except there has been unregulated house building since the dawn of humanity, where was the regulation all those years? People make buildings to live and work in, and it's not very profitable if your building just collapse after you make them.

protip: animals do not belong in sterilized boxes. Automated farms the animals are kept indoors and fed a GMO corn based diet rather than being able to forage. They're then pumped up with antibiotics so their lack of sunlight, exercise and fresh grass won't cause them to die.

come to think of it, you could make a really compelling case that civilian gun ownership was vital in allowing the communists to take over mainland China

but what about all the countries with more regulation which are totally fine?

like, most civilized countries, comparatively

( most of Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada )

I had raw milk a couple times when I lived in Northern Idaho. It was quite a bit better tasting than any other type of milk I have had. Very rich you can't drink a lot of it in one sitting.

Never got sick or anything like that but after the novelty of doing something that's not allowed in my home state wore off, I did not continue buying it because I don't drink milk much at all normally.

>>
>>78080581
Regulation of weapons is "fine" in Western countries because we're under the impression our governments don't regularly fuck us up the ass and would never genocide us if we were considered a problem to them.

The Communists already had the gun monopoly, that's why 3000 civilians were murdered and that's why they got away with it.

For one thing every adult drinks tea 3-4 times a day. If you have a guest over, you offer them tea. And all that tea is with milk. One time I was distributing my cousin's wedding cards and I had to drink about 12 cups of tea that day. Half of them are lactose intolerant and don't even know it.

Also kids drink about 2-3 glasses of milk a day. Hell I'm 19 and I still drink two glasses of milk with Horlicks every day. Hope that explains.
