Wells Fargo and Fanny Mae start offering subprime mortgage loans with only 3% down.

US housing market hasn't seen any growth despite demand for housing rising.

Assuming it doesn't pop before he gets in, he'd have to start city development programs to resettle a lot of the urban population and give the Housing Jews the finger. Less demand means greater supply for those who have to live in cities (big tech companies, scientists, bureaucrats)

Essentially, 1800's American Resettlement Programs. Help build up border cities along our southern border, beef up some cities in Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota, and boost the economy in West Virginia to make it a more attractive state.

millenials, if you're smart, buy up distressed real estate in "minority" areas of cities. raze the house, but becareful about asbestos abatement, if the house was used as commercial property even if it's just one room that was a barber shop or something for a year... if you don't do asbestos abatement properly, the epa will get involved and you can be thrown into federal prison for endangering the health of the community around the house for improper asbestos abatement. so houses that weren't used as commercial is the best bet, raze the house, but people pay good money for old wood so you can recover some money from that, build a new house and now you have a house you can live in or flip

There's two major forces at play fucking housing up:

- Cheap credit and low cost of property ownership. People can afford more. For a while. This accelerates price inflation. A reasonable policy would make property ownership expensive both through credit and property tax which would deflate prices and improve liquidity.

- Supply-demand mismatch. Regulation makes it most difficult to provide the most desired types of development. Meanwhile it's regulatorily easy to build suburban tracts that there's no shortage of. Nothing short of undoing large sections of general building code and removing most local government zoning privileges will help.
>>
>>78054325
You should be at least able to make 120k over a couple of years while living on your own. As of now, it'd take a decade to do so, and housing prices are only going to balloon from there.

People aren't buying houses because they cannot afford to.
Wages have been stagnate for 40 years, in many cases decreasing due to inflation.

Most of america is getting dangerously poor.
Then again with most of our jobs paying less than 12 bucks an hour how can you expect people to be buying houses?

Most people rent, which is basically just throwing money away because they have no other options.

Used my VA loan to get a home near the beach at 3.5% fixed with no down payment. Feels good man.

Also - I work in foreclosure and can tell you guys with certainty that it was not solely sub prime lending that crashed the market in 2008, but was ARM and Balloon mortgages sold to low income households that contributed the most. Blacks and poor whites did not understand the terms of the lending agreement and after the 3 year mark down period, they defaulted after not being able to afford 10-12% interest rates.

When the loans went into FC, less than scrupulous banks (Citi, Chase, mostly) bundled good mortgages with defaulting ones and sold the packages to the highest bidder (other banks) without notifying them of the bad loans. This in turn tanked the whole package, bankrupting many smaller financial institutions.

This is a VERY abbreviated version of the story mind you
>>
>>78057467

Congress created subprime through "housing ownership access". POTUS can protect market/people from Congress.

dont they have to buy mortgage insurance for like $200/mo? if i recall, mortgage insurance is required for less than 10% down payment
>>
>>78058045
Yes and no, Euro bro. Mostly, it was the adjustable rate mortgages pushed on the poor. The banks made it seem like a great deal -Jews jewing- and unethically did not explain the terms to these people.

Keep in mind that the people taking out these loans (thanks to Bills "halp da blacks live free!!1" lending policies") were making minimum wage many times and the banks were lending egregious amounts to them under usury terms. Because what they were doing was not "technically illegal" we got a huge bailout and America got buttfucked. Sorry I'm mobile and wish I could explain in more depth but typing on this thing sucks

Yeah, you're right. This one is going to be a lot worse.

basically we are in a bad time for the economy.

See under normal recovery periods, interest rates drop when a recession happens then climb back up.
But the economy is so fucked up, with little to no wage increases and a shrinking labor pool. The federal reserve is having issues bringing interest rates up.

This causes people to spend money like crazy with such low interest rates. Thus propping up things like auto loans ( average loan now ~30k ) and housing markets.

In fact a lot of economist are worried about millennial generation as rent prices are sky rocketing making it hard for them to build up a savings to afford a down payment on a new home. While old people are snapping up homes with their amazing credit and savings turning them into high priced rentals.

So the next crash will happen soon and it will be just as brutal as the 2008/09 crash. Just this time I hope it forces older people to retire. instead of firing all the entry level workers

Necessary correction to bullshit marketeering tactics employed by a rabid housing/taxation complex.

Have you seen the prices they charge for a 2bed/1bath home in a city? It's outrageous. Nobody can afford to live there, but HGTV is constantly telling people they need to bid ABOVE asking price or they might not get the home of their dreams! Real estate companies encourage this bullshit because realtors get a cut of what the house sells for and the cities themselves don't give a shit because if a house sells for way more than what it's worth they just shrug and rake in all that extra property tax. A sub-1000sqft apartment is not worth over $1000 bucks a month. People who shout "you're paying for location!" are either liars or fools.

It's a downfall of capitalism. People will tell me "It's worth that much if someone is willing to pay that much!" and then they act surprised when these artificial bubbles burst. You reap what you sow you bastards.

>400k in Toronto Lad. The average house in Toronto is like 1.2 million. I live 25 minutes outside the city in a piece of shit near the highway that cost 160 grand 10 years ago and is now worth 950. The market is fucked. Best thing to do now is move to rural New Brunswick or Nova Scotia and build your own place.

Know dat feel. Ugh.
>>
>keep interest rates at basically 0% for decades
>surprised when another bubble forms

Anyone with half a brain would have seen this coming. The goal in Washington was never to let housing prices naturally correct. It was to continue to prop them up so the bank and other people who bought in at inflated prices wouldn't lose their shirts, real estate agents would continue to be employed, etc.

Liberals like to decry the wealth disparity, but the fact that Obama's economic policies have continued to increase disparity is a non sequitur to them.

>what happens when the 1 trillion dollar auto loan bubble pops
>what happens when 2008 happens at half the scale all over again... 8 years later

Idk. You tell me. Instead of us owing 19 trillion eventually,
we'd owe 2+ trillion right the fuck now.

Want to really hate the red pill. Look up who we owe it to.

Yeah, and then they blame capitalism.

To big to fail in capitalism? lol.
Banks should have crashed, bankers should have been jailed and people with shit loans should have been thrown out onto the streets. That's what should have happened. Now it didn't happen then so it will happen now instead, only this time its worse. Its like trying to drink your way out of a hangover.

>>Houses are more affordable
No they aren't you fucking retarded anglo. They are less affordable then ever because of unprecedented credit expansion and millions of retarded indebted goys overbidding each other for overvalued real estate.
