Pretend a dayfly is conscious of time, one hour is equivalent to two human years. Now pretend a rock or mineral deposit is conscious of time. One of our years is equivalent to 10,000 of its years. It sees the Earth change, blue seas slowly expanding, continents drifting away, craters appearing, etc. If a rock went and saw a movie, it would be 20,000 years long and Western Civilization would be like pic related photobombing one frame of it.
