Lots of people are pissed, pretty much everyone I know. CDU and SPD are crashing in surveys. My city might for the first time lose it's Green/Left city council.
Problem is, the only alternative one could vote, as CDU (Merkel's Party) is the most conservative and our equivalent to the Republicans is AFD. Which is portrayed as Nazis 24/7/365 so women aren't going to vote it which they're counting on.
Otherwise it's mostly down to complete and utter censorship, news are almost entirely EU Commision controlled. They're now censoring face book and the likes. Speaking up might end up with you losing your job, ANTIFA and the likes targeting your children on their school way or them going after your family in general.

The moment the money runs out, stuff will burn. There's a point of critical mass anyway. As long as people have more to lose by doing something, such as their job, seeing their family targeted, possibly their children they have more reason not to act solely out of fear and danger to their loved ones.
The moment you cross a certain treshold, taking action becomes the more secure and safe choice and things will go down very quickly. In many ways we have already reached that point, but as all the news are controlled and even normie internet such as facebook are completely censored now many people don't realize how bad it is and how far and wide their sentiment is shared.

Pretty much. I expect everything to remain calm until the end of 2017 when our new government is in power, after that they will start coming forth and raising the sales tax, insurance fees, inheritance tax (in such a way that you can dodge it if it's enough to pay lawyers of course) and so on.
They will start shutting down even more public libraries and swimming pools, smaller towns will try to increase the rent on their property and thus drive out business - everything will generally go to shit.
Which is not necessarily a bad timing for me personally, because I will be finishing up my education around that time. So I'm at the point where I own basically nothing and thus have nothing to lose from the inevitable chaos (apart from getting killed I guess) but can profit from all the opportunities when we start rebuilding.
Still, I would have preferred no civil war.

I don't have a TV, same as many people I know. There is no need to spend money on a TV and cable subscription when nearly everybody in the country has access to broadband Internet.
That said, I doubt this cancer has already spread to Latvia (we barely have any people of color), and even if it has it isn't targeting the right medium if they really are using TV.
I've seen some shit on the Internet about this from other EU countries, but it is difficult to judge the scale of the propaganda campaign without living in the actual countries. Anybody got some stories to tell?
