In order for the Detroit Suburbs to be reborn, industry will need to return to the city. That will never happen. Companies could buy up entire neighborhoods and spend the money to spruce them up or rebuild them, and they could offer them to employees to live in at a lower rate. This place also hinged on industry one upon a time like Detroit and after NAFTA it got sent to Mexico and what didn't get sent to Mexico got sent to Atlanta. When I was born there were two highschools, two middle schools and 5 elementary's not including private schools (which is where you went if you wanted to avoid niggers). When I hit fifth grade, they could no longer afford the schools they had opened so they shut down all but two elementary's, split middle school students between one middle school and one high school and left one high school open. Now, I lived in a little community outside of the city called Bailey Springs. Because of where I lived, I should have gone to Lauderdale County Schools because it was much, much closer. Instead, because of a leftover integration law from the 19 fucking 60's, I got sent to Florence. With the niggers. School was by far the most miserable experience of my life and I left the South as soon as I could. As much as I miss the good things about the South I will never return because I just can't deal with it anymore. To make matters worse, my college keeps importing Southern niggers so they can be good at sports. True, to some degree, but to be more precise, Coleman Young did.
Detroit Blacks were segregated and to some degree integrating (Detroit had one of the largest amounts of middle class educated blacks in the country at the time). Violence, bigotry, and industry kept things in line.
Then the riots happened. In 1967 police raided an a gang's alcohol distribution center, sparking a massive outpouring of Black on White violence. The next year, MLK was shot. In the wake of the violence Coleman Young was elected. Young, receiving kickbacks from various gangs, declared that any police officer (of any color) who investigated, harassed, arrested, or so much as looked at a black man would lose his pension and the entire precinct he was part of would lose funding.
And just like that every Black in Detroit was given a blank check to do whatever the fuck they wanted. They'd camp outside peoples houses in broad daylight waiting for them to leave for work, assault and rape people in the streets, and beat children on their way to school.
So all the Michiganders left, and with it, all of the industry. Young, like all Democrats, would go on to stock the city government with cronies, stooges, and toadies. With industry and Michiganders leaving, so too did anyone who would be able to replace or oust the toadies that would remain long after Young left office.
Detroit died January 1st, 1974. Everything since then has just been rot and decay.
