Humans just love to believe in something "bigger than themselves", and a political system needs to provide that. Right now its consumerism and tolerance, which will most likely kill western culture soon. Our system certainly failed.

Political correctness is annoying at best and is probably the cause of the majority of current racial tensions.
Trump has been a fun meme but I seriously doubt he's going to come anywhere close to winning this election and would probably make a mediocre president if actually elected. I honestly wish he had never run; the Republicans pretty much had this election in the bag before he threw a monkey wrench into things, and now we're almost guaranteed to have Obama II for the next four years at minimum.
