>REMINDER FOR THE 24TH
Counts will get under way when polls close at 22:00 GMT Thursday, 23 June at 382 local centres around the UK. These local results will be declared as the counts are completed before being collated at 12 regional centres, which will also declare the totals for each side. There will be a rolling total so the time at which one side reaches the point of being mathematically unbeatable depends on how quickly the vote are counted and how close the results are running. It is a safe bet that from 4am onwards there should be pretty clear picture of which way the vote is going. A chief counting officer will announce the overall result at Manchester Town Hall. There will be no exit poll.

The outcome was 50.3% against joining the EU. It's not the government who said that, it's some right wing parliamentist. Most people are pro EU in Switzerland, that's why we have the Bilateral agreement (basically de facto EU membership). We also apply every EU law automatically just like you.

Except you don't. The Swiss government have been pulling away from EU policy on many areas recently and their recent application pull is another sign that the Swiss government wants less and less to do with Brussels.

Let me ask you right now, would you join the EU as it currently is, knowing as you do where it is going and what it's ambition are, knowing it's problems, it's economic failures and catastrophic internal policy? And if you do want to join, is there any reason other than an ideological utopian vision of a united European superstate guiding your decision?

This is a defining moment in British politics. Sadly, the choice is between voting to leave or remain caged; I'm disheartened the country's even split on this.

It's produced by old Labour types and proper socialists and gives a lot of convincing arguments for Leaving. Including how it's undemocratic and how it doesn't really do much to protect workers rights at all

Look at what they did to Greece, the Greeks voted against austerity and had it forced upon them anyway. They've sacrificed a whole generation of Greeks just to keep the Euro afloat.

The EU gives no power to the people at all. Even less than our system does and that's saying something.

These apply to Left Wing governments such as Spain, Portugal and famously Greece. If Labour or whatever party you wish to see in power wins an election, they will not be able to carry out their mandate as they will be ovveruled by Brussels. The EU is also heavily in favour of corporate shills, privatization, pushes regulation that damages small businesses while allowing larger multinationals to dominate and is pushing for TTIP which will allow multinational corporations to sue European governments if they think they're losing revenue due to their actions.

This isn't a vote about the current government, or the next government or the government after that. It's a vote about ALL government in the future from this point onwards and whether you want it to be British chosen and selected, sovereign to put forward what it believes is best for the country, or move towards a Corporate dominated internationalist "social democrat" alligned state where you will have no voice.

Okay, to summarise the video's points about democracy:
"There's no doubt that the Parliament in Westminster is the supreme law making authority in this country"
"If the UK courts give priority to EU law when in a conflict against UK law it's because the parliament have chosen to do so"
"Parliament is the supreme legislative authority in the UK"
Why have our MEPs voted against (and been overrulled) on ~84% (I think that was the number) of legislation that we've opposed?

"The UK, France and Germany provide the EU with it's leadership and virtually nothing happens in the EU without those three being in control of it"
See above.

>You will destroy your country and economic because of a stupid and selfish decision which is solely based on emotions.
YOU would destroy our country because you think the MACROeconomy is more important than democracy, independence, sovereignty and nationhood. But it's not. Firstly, we are not giant capitalists or (((international bankers))), so we don't really give a fuck about the MACROeconomy. GDP rises and falls. Who cares. The UK, the world's 5th largest economy will be fine. Stop being a low energy coward and have a little faith in the plucky brits. Your message is REPELLENT, DEMORALISING AND BORING.

The parts of the economy that people ACTUALLY care about are getting affordable houses, doctors appointments, finding school places for their kids, wages being undercut by second world colonisers, primary industry and finance being destroyed and centralised to Germany, being able to fish in your own territorial waters, 50% youth unemployment across the whole Mediterranean, privitisation of the NHS through TTIP, regulation stifling enterprise and creating barriers to entry in favour of giant capitalists, not being the continent with the lowest growth apart from Antarctica. THE EU IS DESTROYING THE PEOPLE'S ECONOMY.
>>
EU law is made by the EU Commission, whose members are appointed, not elected. The EU Parliament, whose members we vote for, has no power to propose, make or repeal any laws. It can only amend laws that have been proposed by the EU Commission. Democracy demands that we have the right to vote for the people who have actual power, not an entity that seems to have been created as a talking-shop in an attempt to legitimise an undemocratic system. The EU has created the illusion of democracy in order to hoodwink people into believing that they have the franchise.

Lefty here too. The EU is the opposite of what you believe. It's a crony capitalists dream. The Tories are actually fucking us through the EU at the moment. Britain is one of the biggest champions of TTIP which is going to spitroast us between the cocks of american big business and the city's big banks if it comes into effect. Even prisons will be vulnerable to privitisation. The Tories could NEVER get that through Parliament, but the EU powers that be are unelected so they can do whatever they fuck they want.

>Parliament is sovereign

No, it's not. It cannot block EU regulation and legislation while we are part of the EU

>UK, France and Germany provide the EU with it's leadership

Why is it then that the EU has consistently moved away from what Britain wants, a free market trading zone among nations of similar economies, to a Franco-German focused union of nations?

>UK has influence on the EU.

I'mma repost this.

Since records began in 1996, the UK has not managed to prevent a single proposal placed in front of the EU council from becoming European law. This amounts to 72 measures that the UK opposed that have since become British law. Since 1973 the UK’s voting power in the Council of Ministers has decreased from 17% to 8%, in the European Parliament it has decreased from 20% to 9.7% and in the European Commission it has decreased from 15% to 4%. The UK has about 12% of the EU's population, it provides only 5% of the EU's staff and the situation is set to get worse. More than four in 10 British officials will be enjoying their retirement by 2020 and, based on the number of applicants in recent years, most of them will not be replaced (junior roles have only a 2.4% UK entrance rate) - this matters because legislation unlike in a democracy is drafted by unelected civil servants in the Berlaymont building, the EU Parliament is merely a rubber stamp with amending rights. Over the last European Parliamentary term (2009-14),a majority of British MEPs(across UK party lines) opposed 576 motions out of a total 1,936 that were put before the European Parliament. Of those 576 motions, 485 were nonetheless approved by the rest of the Parliament despite the opposition of a majority of British MEPs. This is a failure rate of 84%. This rises to 89% in Economic & Monetary affairs & 98% loss in Budget votes.

It's a legal fiction.

If Parliament refuses to pass a law passed down from the unelected Commission, it is ILLEGAL under the treaties. Therefore, Parliament is not Sovereign. Even if 100% of the commons and the lords are opposed to the law, they are BOUND to pass it. They have no right to refuse it.

It's like saying you have a right to kill anybody you want, but you choose not to do it because you choose to obey the law. The truth is, you have no such right.

>The UK has enormous influence in the EU
Simply untrue. Our historic position of largely leaving Europe to do it's own thing has left us with few countries that still listen to us. Gibraltar and Cyprus being pretty much it.

We're sufficiently different enough to other countries that what's best for us is often not best for the rest of Europe. e.g. recent EU port legislation - voted against by every UK MEP from every party, Trade unions and port authorities in the UK are opposed. The legislation still passed and will soon affect us even though everyone agrees it would be bad for us. - If we truly had power in the EU this type of thing wouldn't happen to us.

Also most of the stuff that Cameron got from his "renogotiations" are bullshit "red cards" that require agreement from the majority of EU states to be used - this will never happen due to conflicting interests. It will only get harder as the EU expands.

By neglecting the problem of preserving the racial foundations of our national life, the old Empire abrogated the sole right which entitles a people to live on this planet. Nations that make mongrels of their people, or allow their people to be turned into mongrels, sin against the Will of Eternal Providence. And thus their overthrow at the hands of a stronger opponent cannot be looked upon as a wrong but, on the contrary, as a restoration of justice. If a people refuses to guard and uphold the qualities with which it has been endowed by Nature and which have their roots in the racial blood, then such a people has no right to complain over the loss of its earthly existence.

Think the Jo Cox murder might've dented the momentum more than any shill could.

I'm expecting 52/48 in favour of Remain. I think last-minute undecideds will break in favour of staying, and the chances of them voting will probably have increased in the last few days.

Thinking back to the Scottish Referendum, those who decide on the day, or even in the ballot box, broke 2:1 in favour of keeping the status quo, and I think the same will happen this time, so unless Leave is consistently 5 points ahead in the polls (which they aint) then it'll go to remain. Because frequently laws and regulations pass will hurt Britain, like the new regulations on selling artwork which realistically only effect Britain as London is the world's greatest art market. We opposed it, we lost. So we're going to suffer despite it only effecting us and choosing to go against it.

By and large, Nigel has been leading the cause for a long time. We know he's bringing atleast 4million votes with him on this.

Liberals talk that way to anyone who disagrees with them anyway. I think BREXIT benefits from a split campaign, Nige will get the working class English folk out to vote in force, Gove&Boris&Hannan are surely winning over a lot of undecided and middle class voters.

The EU is simply too large and invasive to be truly democratic. For democracies to work properly the representatives have to be aware of the constituents issues to some extent.

This is why government had been getting less centralised for centuries with devolved parliaments and administrations, local councils and elected mayors.

People in one place don't know or care about the issues of people in another place. E.g. MEPs in Romania don't give a shit about what goes on here and vice versa.
It's completely unfair to have people with no vested interest in a country dictate policy in said country.

Imagine if the US could vote on South African legislation. The US representatives wouldnt give a shit what happens to South Africa as long as it makes more money to benefit the US

One size fits all policy is what the EU is "good" at, except one size doesn't actually fit all at this large of a scale.

Generally the larger a nation the more autonomy regions have. Think US states, Canadian provinces and Russian administrative divisions. The EU wants less regional autonomy, it doesn't work due to diversity of culture, practices, opinions etc

The City isn't looking great for long term job creation, we're expecting a lot of jobs to be automated out the City within the decade.

Would prefer to see us concentrate on small to medium sized firms.

I don't understand why he's shilling for Remain?

Is his job EU Grant dependent? He's a scientist isn't he? Could be then.

Kinda disingenuous though, might as well make a video saying "My job takes tax money from the EU which is why I'm voting Remain despite the library of reasons to Leave".
