Change the color, make all the sharp edges rounded and put a colorful yellow tip on the end of the barrel and suddenly it's no longer an assault weapon.
>>
It's honestly hilarious that they're scared of guns, but love to invite Mudshits into the country en masse that throw people like themselves off buildings. Should we ban gravity to stop them from doing this?

do your gun laws change much depending on what state you live in?

i know libtards are silly but are they asking for reform on a state or federal level? is the latter even possible given that the senate is republican controlled?

They just want more "gun control" aka more government overreach, not actual confiscation. And yes it's up to the states. My state has both castle doctrine and stand your ground laws for self defense.

>feels good
>>
>>77783712
>castle doctrine and stand your ground

wait, doesnt stand your ground enforce castle doctrine anyway? i assumed that if stand your ground is state law then castle doctrine is included within that
>>
>>77783562
You've hit the nail on the head libs want tighter federal control of firearms. You think they'd be happy in California or DC where the local governments trample all over their rights but they are worried one of those crazy church going Republicans will drive to another state and buy a firearm. And the latter is impossible because of the Constitution. If you can imagine a party that is not just willing but crazed for the federal government to become some bloated UK esque rights grabbing entity, you'd be imagining the Democrat party.
>>
>>77784100
Not necessarily. I'm not familiar with individual states' laws for a practical example but castle doctrine protects home or land owners from certain litigation if you use lethal force to protect life/property on your land. Stand your ground protects you from litigation in any scenario where you believe your life is in danger.
>>
>>77784100
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle_doctrine
>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stand-your-ground_law

Different. Castle doctrine means both home and vehicle. Stand your ground means if you feel your life is threatened and you cannot retreat, you can stand your ground up to and including lethal force
>>

Why do you want an assault rifle? Give me a real reason you need it over a pistol.

Muh rights is not a reason.
Muh gunz is not a reason.

Muh self-defense is not a reason. There are plenty of reasonable self-defense weapons available.

Why the fuck should a weapon capable of mass-murdering be freely available to the public?
>>
>>77782784
THATS NOT THE POINT DONT BRING RACE INTO THIS

THE POINT IS IF GRAVITY *WASNT A THING* IT WOULDN'T GET INTO THE HANDS OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO MISUSE IT.

Yes. Gun laws vary on which state you live in.

I own a few silencers which are legal where I live but are crazy illegal in commiefornia.
>>
>>77784634

Government tyranny, faggot.

Also, why do you *need* a car newer than 1986?
You don't, but the government is not your father. They don't get to run your life.

>mass-murdering with a pistol

ok
>>
>>77784871
If I kill a bunch of people with a fork is it an "assault" fork or a "mass-murdering" weapon like you put it? Are we even debating, your liberal talking points are pathetic
>>
>>77784634
>Capable of mass murder
Pistols can do this as well. So can most weapons not classified as an "assault weapon." Maybe someone is in the military and likes to shoot outside of work. Maybe I like to go to the range and pretend I'm Matt daemon. It doesn't matter. The entire point of rights is you can exercise them freely without giving explanations to limp wristed liberal faggots trying to make a point on the internet.
>>
>>77784634
>Give me a real reason you need it over a pistol.

Range, accuracy, more deadly, more stable firing platform, more useful close up too as if you really need to you can give someone a good crack over the head with it, as well as use it defensively to parry blows.

If I wanted to go out and kill a load of people, a pistol (or even a cricket bat) will do just fine for it.

There's mass shooting scale deaths in Chicago every day thanks to concealable handguns.

Rifles don't make up for shit in comparison to handgun deaths.
>>

Why are like 99% of photos of guns posted on 4chan just in a bedroom instead of out at a range or something? Do most people never use their guns?
>>

>>

Likely because they are on the internet at the time and they don't have a shooting range in their house.
>>
>>77785179
4channers who own guns are probably too introverted to bring guns into public shooting ranges and after all it's weird to take pictures of it there.
>>
>>77785179
I always take pictures of my guns at the range. Just like I always take pictures of my clubs at the driving range. My buddies think it's normal too.

It must eat you alive knowing we have the 2nd Amendment. In fact it puts a smile on my face knowing your pissed
>>
>>77782653
Actually painting guns bright blue has been proven to psychologically ease tensions surrounding guns. The UN used to use blue parts on some of their guns, helmets, clothing, etc
The bright blue colour evokes feelings of safety and is appealing to the eye.
>>
>>77785402
Not really. Zero issue with guns in general. I'm all for it. Just certain ones I feel are completely unnecessary.
>>
>>77784634
>something provided by the bill of rights isn't a reason
why do you need to shitpost in /pol/? shitposting should be banned, fuck your first amendment right
>I have one isn't a reason
let me take your car away because some some asshole got into a fatal accident
>a rifle isn't better at self defence than a handgun
ever heard of effective range?
>a weapon capable of mass-murdering be freely available
If some crazy fucker ran around killing people with a hammer would we outlaw those? with a fork? a pen?

and my reason I want one is, their fun. I said it, I like guns, I think going to a range and shooting targets is exciting, they're fascinating machines to take apart and clean and customizing them is some of the most innocent fun I've had. I have the luck to live in a country where the founders said it should be a protected right to have them and I intend to exercise that right because I can and because I want to.
>>
>>77785411
I always thought they did this to signal that their mags were empty and they were there to make a political point. Also, blue makes a more soothing and defined target for the enemy.
>>
>>77784976
this
>>
>>77785411
More like they do it because they're technically an occupying force and since they are there for "humanitarian" reasons they want to be easily identifiable so as not to be mistaken for one of the other ones and shot.
>>
>>77782615
Anyone who is NOT 'scared' of "someone with one of these, in the right circumstances", is lacking in something: intelligence?
>>
>>77785507
I bet if you went to the range and rented an AR or really any long rifle you would probably like it. Just as a hobby not even to own one.
>>
>>77783373
I think everyone has the natural right to not be shot in a night club.
>>
>>77785525
Not entirely, colour palletes are important due to biological reasons that leak over into psychology
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_psychology

The UN could have chosen any colour other than black, green and tan, the common colours of military, but they chose blue for psychological purposes of evoking feelings of safety.
>>
>>77785671
Fine then ban radical Islam. The gun didn't just shoot itself. Case closed!
>>
>>77785651
No issue with using them at a range. I don't think people should have them in their homes.
>>
>>77785671
Indeed. This has no bearing on the legality of guns though, just murder.
>>
>>77785081
Why is assault in quotes? Would you use it for hunting? Shooting clay targets?
>>

Because as you are obviously one of the retarded niggers/manchildren they are used to dealing with, you are not to be trusted around scissors, matches, or firearms.

You are not responsible for you own actions. If you leave a child near something potentially dangerous, it's obvious what will happen.

Yeah, but they could have chosen any bright neon colour that gun manufacturers don't traditionally use, they specifically went with blue for a reason.
>>
>>77786282
so let's outlaw meteors then
>>
>>77784634
Different people have different reasons for owning a gun and more than likely it's for a necessity.

Self defense shouldn't be taken lightly.
