I have two theories about these polls and why they may be deceptively bad for Trump. Tell me if I'm wrong.

1. Clinton's voters are unenthusiastic and will not show up to vote. Poll's come to you and cannot factor in enthusiasm.

2. Real Clear Media is an average of various media outlets polls. Most of the media is liberally biased. It's possible that their polls are biased in favor of the democrats.

Tell me whether or not I am wrong please /pol/.

That would be a viable conclusion if Hillary's didn't jump equally as much. My guess it that it was a poll that was biased against undecided or 3rd party voters.

Kind reminder that the polls consistently underestimate Trump.

Remember that "can Trump even break 50%?" meme before the East Coast Super Tuesday? Polls said "not quite", then he smashed 50% in all of them and hit 60 in a few.

This is just one example. He consistently beats his polls.

Why is this?

Because
1) the polls are often biased
2) some Trump voters don't admit it because they are afraid people will call them raysis
3) some of the people who say the not-Trump candidate due to their dislike of Trump don't actually like the other candidate either and can not be bothered to actually go out and vote

Make no mistake: Trump is going to win.

Polls ebb and flow, and Clinton got a bump from nomination not to mention Trump just fucked himself with the judge shit but it's over now.

Hillary's lead already slipped in Reuters from the Orlando shooting so you might soon start seeing that in polls, not to mention meme polls like Bloomberg are included in the average
>>
Eh wait till the debates. Nice to see trump coming back from a little decline but even if he was beating her I still wouldn't totally trust it. A little too far away from November to have any real merit.

The funny thing is that you aren't going to convince us not to vote like a bunch of leftist, defeatist cucks. All this does is steel our resolve. Keep it up. You're doing better work for us than most.
>>
There's more than just favorability polls. Yes, Trump being down is bad, but it's also way too soon to focus on them.

Hillary can dive bomb at any point in the net 4 months, and she knows it. That's why she's practically hiding from public view. Have you ever seen a politician running for president hide for months on end? She knows she's not a likable face to the average person, so she's hoping Trump will self-destruct and she can win by default. This is terrible strategy.

Beyond that, there's the question of voter enthusiasm. This was already addressed, but I think it needs to be highlighted. People are NOT enthusiastic about Hillary. Most of them are enthusiastic about hating Trump. That's not how elections are won. They're won by motivating people to get to the polls in support of a candidate.

People fucking LOATHED Bush II, but were lukewarm on Kerry. Bush won because he had the higher enthusiasm in his base.

There hasn't been this much enthusiasm for a Republican candidate since Reagan. So what you know about last 35 years of politics and throw it out, because it has no bearing on this kind of election.

Trump can win. Does it look good for him? Kinda. But it doesn't look particularly good for Clinton either. So let's not worry about polls just yet.

What is Trump going to do if he actually wins this thing. Hillary is such a terrible candidate, he can beat her without trying. It's obvious he doesn't want to be president anymore, so what is he going to do if he wins? Can he just say no thanks
>>
>>77756344
It's particularly funny because Trump's support is iron-clad. People don't get behind him and then leave. We're incredibly loyal and this "lol Trump is finished" shit only draws more people into our circle. He is going to destroy her in those debates when he talks about her record in the middle east and with women, donors, etc. She's only going to go down until November. There aren't enough dead voters they can pull to put her over the top.

He quite literally did beat the son of a former President. And while his brother was the worst president in modern history, he still got re-elected despite major hate from the Left.

Trump is throwing rallies with tens of thousands of attendees, and thousands of people waiting outside trying to get in. Trump is a phenomenon we haven't seen before. Yes, he's polarizing. Yes, he talks simply and unrehearsed. Yes, he's controversial and unfiltered.

That's actually turning out to be his strong point. He's gonna win, dude. Once Hillary comes out of hiding, the press won't be able to save her.

Trump's polling right now is 100% due to the media ganging up on him. Hillary is literally hiding right now. You don't think that's a sign?
>>
>>77758162
Trump has been benefiting so much from the media throughout this entire process. It's a joke that you idiots think he's being "ganged up on." He would not have even won the nomination without the help he got from the media. This is a fact.

Look at the numbers. Trump is hated by large majorities of virtually every demographic group except white men. Trump is down in battleground states and all Clinton really needs to win is one. You are delusional as fuck if you think that idiot has a chance of winning in November.

You'll see.
>>
>>77758521
I don't think you're viewing things clearly. Have you seen how the media treats Trump? They give him attention, yes. But the attention is almost 100% negative.

Notice anything about that graph?

The blue line is on top of the red line the entire time, going back almost a year. It varies from about +12 Hillary to Trump almost pulling even but not quite.

Compare with 2008 election, there were many times when Republicans took lead in the polls even though they ultimately lost by 7 points.

2012 Romney was consistently behind Obama but by a smaller margin than Trump is with Hillary.

A STEM degree qualifies you for practically anything.

Guess who the biggest Wall Street hedge fund managers are? Physics majors. Why? Because they have the mathematical talent to rule over practically anyone else, including a trained economist.

Guess who some of the top people in Biology are? Physics majors. Failed physicists who left their profession for an easier line of work, and ended up being the greatest Biologists of all time.

When you have that high powered intellect, practically any other discipline is like child's play. You don't understand the kind of people these are. One of my best friends was a super genius who graduated college at 16.

These people are smarter than anyone you've ever met in your life. They could learn your entire discipline in 20 minutes. The statistics you use on a daily basis stem from formulas they themselves derived.
>>
>>77761522

>>
>>77761584
Hedge fund managers contribute nothing of value to the country or the economy, so congrats, I guess? I'm still not impressed. In fact, I'd wager you never even heard of the invisible primary until today.

Mathematics is fine, but it's not knowledge that is directly applicable to the political process in the U.S, nor is it directly applicable to this election in particular. It's not going to tell you how the electoral college works, it is no replacement for an in-depth understanding of political demography, and it doesn't qualify you to act like a know-it-all ass just because you can.

>le turnout meme
Voter turnout in primaries is more indicative of the competitiveness of the primary election itself, not the enthusiasm within the electorate for a particular candidate. The Republicans had many more candidates, so their turnout was quite a big higher in the primary. This is generally how it goes.

You do realize that the number of people who vote in primary elections is significantly less than the number of people who vote in the general election? Taking anything out of the primaries and attempting to apply it to the general is silly.
>>
>>77755099
Both statements are true, but it was shown in the Republican Primaries that Late Deciders tend to go towards the establishment candidate because they are the sort of people who want safer things.

The best hope for Trump is new Clinton bombshells and destroying her in the debates. But the debates are going to be rigged in her favor anyway.

By asking the voters how they feel about the candidates. It's not perfect, but it's a lot better than trying to extract information for the general based off numbers from the primaries.

Given the overall lack of competitiveness within the Democratic primary and the dismissive attitude of the media toward the Sanders campaign for most of the process, for all we know there could be a large number of Clinton supporters who simply didn't even turn out in the primary.

Clinton's coronation was never really in doubt. Sanders was trying to come back from double-digit deficits in virtually every state in the nation. He won a bunch of caucuses and some primaries. Big whoop. I say this as a Bernie supporter: Him winning the nomination was always a longshot. He knew it. I knew it. Any informed supporters of his knew it. It was uphill all the way for him, and he couldn't get it done. Clinton was, and is, a juggernaut.

Now.. As for the Republican primary, I would argue that Trump's success in the primary in and of itself is indicative of how competitive that race was. It's easy to forget now, but there was a time early on when the GOP field was huge, and support was spread fairly evenly among the top 5 candidates or so. It was really anybody's guess who was going to win until the debates started happening and the votes started coming in. That's no surprise considering the nature of the GOP electorate. Will it happen again in the general election? Absolutely not. The general electorate is a different beast entirely.

You've got to be kidding. That tweet was the most self-congratulatory, abhorrent thing we have seen in Presidential politics in our entire lifetimes. It is widely understood that he fucked up his response to the Orlando shooting big-time. That's not "bite-sized chunks" - It's reality. He had a chance to show us how he'd respond to trouble and he dropped the ball. We don't need a fool like Trump serving as President. The fact that some obsessed followers of his on /pol/ will make excuses for him doesn't change that.
>>

This. I dunno how you do this, but with all the shit I've seen in this elec all the media gunning for trump while he stands there like ásaþórr him self and just even need to shrug it off.. Fuck I love this man. I can't think of a more testo leader since our dear noble wolf (we will use rewritings now, to wake the savages in you all).

He cannot be bought, he cannot be controlled, he want's to fix america and actually cares about the american population, even the europoors but murica first.

Like Hitler was and still is bombarded, they bombard him.

I don't trust these for 1 sec.
Another factor, how are they done?
Because research 101, you can never ask people anything, because they lie, you need to observe. First thing you learn when you start with researching. People lie when they don't even know, like tell me how you use this computer program.. vs show me how you use this program.

Most people would avoid telling the truth to get in trouble.

Aaaand it all depends on where they pick the votes, who they pick it from.

It's very rude to ask people about this here, and illegal if a boss does it to his employees. Jailtime I think. part coursing, that's straight to jail for several years.
>>
>>77755099
>1. Clinton's voters are unenthusiastic and will not show up to vote. Poll's come to you and cannot factor in enthusiasm.

I do think there's a lot to this. The Democrats will not be able to count on Blacks OR College-Student Bernouts to really show up this time.

Why college student Bernouts won't show up: While Hillary would be the first woman president, she's basically as establishment and as war-hawking and as free-globalist-trade as you're going to get, and college students don't want those things and her "muh first woman" idea is tainted by being borne from a clearly cronyist dynasty.

Why darkies won't show: I actually think darkies are more likely to show up than bernouts but first of all Hillary's not black so who cares, second of all Trump is funny so they may not give Hillary the 95:5 edge she's relying on.

Also: scandals shady as shit yo

Trump needs the college educated vote. And he's not smart enough to figure this out himself, and therefore he won't, because he probably doesn't listen to his advisers.

Romney could've had 40% of the Latino vote and still have lost. The problem with American Politics is that it all politics is local. Right now, he HAS to convince smart whites that he's something more than he is. But if he doesn't, Clinton wins, unless she invokes the specter of SocJus.

Right now. That's the most important thing to keep doing. Keep BLM and Tumblr off the stage or else.

This thread is embarrassing.
Hillary Clinton is sad and stupid and has never independently accomplished anything besides marrying Bill Clinton. That's why Democrats don't even like her, despite her being in the public eye for over two decades.
Donald Trump is a risk taker who will make mistakes (mostly saying stupid things), but his sheer energy will make swing voters anxious to find reasons to vote for him.
You're retarded if you think national polls before the conventions matter, especially if you have trouble figuring out whether or not the polling sample is representative of the turnout in November.
But what can I say, retardation makes you desperate to believe anything without considering its likelihood to be true if it makes you feel good.

OP here. Wow, my shitpost is still up. Someone almost found the error here, doe.

Gravis shouldn't be included. Because that poll is out of 100%. That means they most likely asked people to pick a side - there was no "undecided" option. So, at worst, the poll skewed the data. At best, it still shouldn't be included because it's categorically different from all the other polls that have a "none of the above" option.

The bloomberg push poll only has an asterixs

It should be fucking removed...Yes Hilary is winning at the moment but she is not winning by 5 points

Some of these polls oversample dems by 15%.

If Trump is competitive against Clinton with there being 10% more democrat pollees it's safe to say he's doing good.

Also remember the shy conservative effect and how much stigma there is against Trump.

Polls can indicate a general view or a sample, but they're by no means accurate. Just look at Nate Silver this election cycle.

Calm down edgy

Trump is about curing the symptoms after that we can point to the actual disease..Also the 14 words are counter productive the disease is eating non whites too
>>
I love seeing these polls. Trump does so bad on polls, yet EVERY trump rally is overfilled. Remember the nickname anons gave him? "The Voice of the Silent Majority". Just wait. When general elections start. Crackhead Hillary will be begging for Guantanamo bay. Screen Cap this.

Hillary is doing terribly with the male vote?

Why the is the female vote more important?

STEM master race reporting in. Lib arts and humanities fags are fucking retarded. I love getting into "debates" with them and completely running circles around them using logical and to-the-point arguments. After a day or so I'm usually can write better work on their subjects than them, if I can be bothered. I remember in undergrad literally BTFOing all the humanities majors in the lib arts classes I had to take for distribution requirements (was at a big 3 Ivy League university). Humanities/Lib Arts/Social Science/Politics majors are literally so fucking retarded, relying purely on sucking jew dick to get jobs. They can't make a coherent point to save their lives.

Trump is still winning in polls against Shillary with white women.

http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/at-the-edge/2015/09/08/the-white-vote-the-rise-of-donald-trump-shows-it-may-be-returning
>"If the 'white vote' had shown up in the same percentage and voted for Romney in 2012 as it voted for McCain in 2008, Romney would have won. Obama got many fewer votes in 2012 than he got in 2008. The difference-maker was, a lot of white voters stayed home," Limbaugh said in the spring of 2013.
>"Republicans are now accepting what the Democrats and the media are telling them, that they lost because the Hispanics don't like 'em," Limbaugh said. "But ...the percentage of the electorate that was Hispanic in 2012 was 7 percent. Obama got 71 percent of it; Romney got 27 percent. And [even if] you reverse that - [if] Romney gets 70 percent - he still loses."
>Political commentators with conservative media organizations have said for two years now that between 5 million and 10 million disaffected white voters stayed home in 2012 -- and that if Romney had won 63 percent of the white vote (instead of 59 percent), all other voter demographics would not have mattered.
>"Romney was not able to connect with white voters who were so turned off by [his] campaign that they abandoned the GOP and in many cases stayed away from the polls altogether," the Washington Examiner's chief political correspondent, Byron York, wrote in 2013. "As many as 5 million white voters simply stayed home on Election Day. If they had voted at the same rate they did in 2004, even with the demographic changes since then, Romney would have won."
>What's more, York wrote, the GOP should focus much more on the white vote than anything else -- because that's how it will win national elections. It's a strategy that has seemingly now moved to the center of the GOP presidential primarie

Hitler :
>Supported Radical Islam politically and was fond of it philosophically

>Tried to pack the USSR's shit in

>Closed borders immigration /deportation policy but open to visitors from the Islamic world

Clinton:
>Supported radical Islamic states and non state factions militarily and ambivalent about radical Islam philosophically

>Tries to pack Russia's shit in through cold war encirclement theory using NATO/surrounding military bases, sanctions, proxy wars and through Soros' OCF.

>Open borders immigration policy

Trump:
>Opposed to radical Islam militarily and philosophically

>Would try to increase cooperation with Russia and pursue multilateral intervention in the middle east, while performing a much needed audit of NATO and related policies

>Wants an Australia modeled immigration /deportation policy that in addition specifically targets those from Muslim countries

Well reason one does account for Romney's 2012 loss despite his poll performance.

>Well, I mean, why else do you think we're dropping bombs on them?

The most powerful military in the world versus a group of rebels. They want ISIS too disrupt Syria, look at how quickly they fucked Saddam's shit up, they were 100x the force ISIS is.

The US is doing the minimum amount of damage it can, They would rather ISIS defeat Assad and let another middle eastern country plummet in to chaos, Hillary has had a helping hand in all of this
