Keep some physical gold, a small amount of bitcoins, a few US dollars and the rest as Euros. That should be pretty balanced.

swiss francs or dollars if you want liquidity, otherwise gold, just make sure the mint is on London Good Exchange list as trusted, you'll be able to liquidate at any broker across the world within 24h

Estonia supposedly has VAT-free silver, a nice addition besides standard gold
>>
>>77398004

Im not buying it as an investment. I'm buying it as a store of value. Although if the pound crashes it may end up being a "good investment".

Long term either way, the UK has too much debt and no way out of it other than printing money, so gold is a good place to keep wealth.

The problem with gold is that if you find yourself in a situation where gold is the only reliable currency you probably have a lot more to worry about than currency, like not being killed in a civil war.

I'd consider antiques if you know a good dealer and do some research. Guns never drop in value in the UK, either.

>The Euro will do better than the Pound.

The Euro is a political project. The stability of the Euro has a direct relationship with the stability of EU. With one of the largest economies in the world leaving the EU trading block, everything from its agricultural policy to its defence policy will suffer. The currency isn't separate.

Don't make the mistake of looking at the Euro currency as an economic or financial issue, because it really is. It's supported entirely by political clout.

Why would € crash if britbongs leave? They don't even use it. Merkel will never abandon the new Reich so Germany alone is enough backing for a currency that it will not crash.
>>
>>77402970
it probably won't because of brits leaving but it might because of Draghi's manic quantitative easing (biggest ever, in any currency) or if/when Deutsche Bank kicks the bucket Lehman style

there's also a possibility of Euro helicopter money bringing significant inflation because of sudden huge jump in demand

I don't trust them one bit, currently frantically looking for a nice chunk of land to buy asap

as an investment, guns are a bitch to move in Europe for your buyer needs to qualify first, unlike in burgerland for example

you could sell to burgers but their authorities are very anal about what you can and cannot import, otherwise I'd be making a killing buying up all full auto MP40s domestically and selling them for 20x more in burgerland

As someone in the gun trade, I can vouch for this (with caveats). If you buy a gun, especially something above £500 and keep it in good nick, you're likely to get most of your money back when it comes to sell or part exchange it, but there are exceptions and it does have to be in good nick.

>German bonds

I've heard on DeutschlandFunk yesterday that German 10 year bonds will have negative interest rates now.
Are you trying to convince us to pay interest for "muh refugee programs" so Merkel's government can continue cucking the EU?
It's like Trump promise to make Mexicans pay for the wall, only in reverse.

I can get nice functioning MP40 for about 1500 EUR apiece, M1A1 for about 600 EUR apiece, PPS and PPSh even cheaper, I've seen mint G33s for under 1500 EUR apiece

I can also get all kinds of heavier machienguns, mostly WW2 era, I bet these prices would fall with significant volumes, dunno exactly about ATF specs so I'd have to read up on it

thanks for the suggestions m8

The pound's gonna collapse aswell.

Fuck this continent, just nuke us already.
>>
>>77408564
...yeah, for 1500 euros it will not be at all profitable to take a plasma torch to to break it down for a parts kit, especially with the current markets already saturated with PPS and PPSh kits.
Also the US price for the M1A1 is about that price and G33s are currently being imported and knocked off right now.

Making a shooting range and advertising it to American customers is probably the more profitable option at this point...
>>
>>77409335
well these are retail prices I posted, there could be already a bunch cheap parted-out items available locally, didn't look into that yet

as for shooting FA it's off limits here to civilians, they are meant for qualified collectors only and the only possible workaround is if I were to become a manufacturer, which is heavily regulated and prohibitively expensive so no go on this front

There are signs of the bubble deflating, their steel dump created a shitton of glut and they had to lay off hundreds of state workers. It doesn't seem like much in the broad scheme of things but it's near unheard of for China.

>>77411196
The problem is that the US considers the receiver the real gun which makes some sense given how much machining is needed for most guns.

The only thing that would have a market in the US are surplus AK barrels, they are cold hammer forged leading to supposed longer life and they love that shit here. Unfortunately the ATF stopped issuing import licenses for them years ago so I'm not sure why I got your hopes up for that.

To be frank there's nothing really that the US market doesn't already have or made knockoffs of or have a wide enough market to make a custom run of receivers worth it.

If you can find Mausers, Mosins or even 8mm ammunition you might be able to work out a deal for that.

The price has been rising on them lately and you can import them to the US with little hassle.
>>

it'd be nice to find a niche to bring in some play money but I'm not really looking to dedicate myself fulltime to anything of the sort

there are a gorillion mosins and mausers here and across the neighbourhood, so there just might be somehing to be gained there

the only place I've been allowed to shot FA was in Serbia, Proof House Kragujevac, a place within Zastava Arms factory and it was the most fun I ever had with a firearm

thanks again for the info, I'll go to sleep now
