I have long ago decided that my children will have private education, even of it meant I had to cripple myself financially to make it happen. Public education is a cesspool of socialist indoctrination and poor actual education. It would cost me about the same amount of time to unteach what will be taught wrong and to teach what has not been taught at all. I have had many cousins sent to me because they didn't possess the most basic of skills after a full 8 years of elementary school. It's really bad. And to think Dutch public education is traditionally ranked amongst the best in the world. If it truly is one of the best, I seriously do not want to know how bad it is elsewhere, because it's abysmal here.

I don't see it yet. Pendulum is going more and more to the left by the second in this moment. Just spend 10 minutes in social media to realize.
Besides, there is other pendulum that goes easily forgotten in the left-right struggle the media always want to highlight: The Nationalism-Globalism pendulum.
In this spectrum, I see the pendulum will be stuck in Globalism for a good while. Technology is another factor to consider (just take me as an example, debating about politics in a non-native language in a Thailandese watercolor painting imageboard)
But we human beings have a sense of belonging that MUST be fulfilled somehow. Something to be committed to. Without religion, without family and without traditions people feel lost; and as a result of that, people don't know where to go. Some people choose the way to earn money for the sake to earn money, some people choose to praise their egos, and many are depressed because they can't possibly be sure if their path is right or wrong.
Sadly, I predict this empty spaces will be filled with Islam by our new Muslim overlords in the next years.
And the pendulum will swing again, but I doubt I'll be alive when people start to get tired of that world order.
