Token VPs fail every fucking time. Just look at Mondale-Ferraro in '84 or McCain-Palin in '08. Both lost the female vote by a MASSIVE margin. Hell, Pat Buchanan had a fucking black woman for his VP candidate and he didn't even clear half a percent.
This campaign isn't about playing demographic games, it's not about black votes or evangelical votes or women votes - it's about party affiliation. The only way Trump wins this is if he can start winning over Independents and disgruntled Democrats.
