Newfag here. Sorry if I'm breaking any social conventions of /pol.
Why do people call French speaking people frogs? Even us French Canadians are often referred as frogs. Does French sounds like a frog croaking for a non-french speakers? Or are Frenchies often ugly - like a frog (except Kek, obviously)

Because they eat frogs, you stupid piece of shit.
Most people think that's disgusting, apparently the french like it though.
because french people actually eat frogs
Sure there are some french recipes using frog legs but i'm willing to bet a large majority have never tried it
For the same reason Americans are called Burgers and Arab kebab...
if you've ever met a real french person... they have this expression of mild surprise where they stick their neck out a bit like a bullfrog. they do it a lot actually
>>77359695
there's a board for stupid faggots like you
It's because they poisoned the water supply at KGB headquarters with Amazon tree frog poison.
Incapacitated 1,600 people and left with every secret they had.
>>77359695
They eat frogs fairly regularly, also turtles. That's probably why.

As austrian with french relatives I aprove this post blessed by kek.

>>77359825
I'll end up this myth once for all.
Only a special region in France eats frogs. Now is just a meal for rich people and tourists who think French Cuisine can be resumed with frogs and snails.
>>77360039
Can we get our own food based nickname?
>>77360205
And what board would that be kind sir?
>>77359825
Fuck no !
>>77360906
Roast beef
>>77360906
Souls
>>77360906
Calling you "palestinian child" will be confusing
>>77360906
I want Foreskins to leave
For the same reason Americans are 'burgers' here.
>>77359695
I have eaten frog.
It tastes like chicken but better .Really tender meat.
>>77359695
I only ate frog legs in an asian restaurants.
I ate snails several times, though. And often directly from my garden.

>>77359695
It's because if you put a frog in a pot of cool water and slowly boil it to death by gently raising the temperature the stupid fuck won't jump out. The french people are the same way, also they croak like frogs
>>77359695
Because we are the direct heirs of Kek.
Kek wills it.
>>77361014
What a treator. Fucking shit-eating bumpkin.
>>77361302
well, this is pretty accurate sadly
>>77360698
Guess I'm a rich people then. Cause both are straight up delicious to me.
I won't hesitate to trap a shit ton of either ever I need to go innawoods.
>>77361076
underated
>>77361431
It could be worse. Look at germany or UK. They simply blow themselves on the fire to get it rising the temperature faster.
>>77360698
>Only a special region in France eats frogs
It's called a stereotype. They're not 100% true.
>>77361274
OP here.
I have to admit I've eaten frog legs once.
In a Chinese Buffet ironically.
It does taste like chicken.
In bulgaria we eat them as well, but not the whole animal, only the back legs.Their meat is like chicken drums. Rly tasty.
>>77361431
don't worry desu us Americans still love the French. Lafayette and the French are the reason we exist as a nation. Some day we will liberate you frogs again this time from the slime terror
>>77361206
Come on, lets be friends.
>>77360906
Hummus please go
>>77359695
The fun thing is, we sometimes eat frogs too. Most people would not freak out at the thought at least.
>>77360698
This is highly accurate. I worked in Paris for a few years and whenever my family would come iver they would want 'French food' and vocally complained that the Polidor didn't sell frogs legs.
>>77361044
That's what the French call the English
Le Rosbif
>>77360698
I'll stop calling you Frog when your lot stop calling us Rosbeefs.

>>77359783
Well hello my condescending Yankee friend. We eat a lot of frogs in the southern United States.
>>77362177
You're right, rosbif is too delicious to serve as a slur toward the englishmen.
We will call you "bean-on-a-toast" from now on.
>>77359695
Because a tiny part of France eats frog legs (which are delicious btw)
Is this the new Kek thread?
>he's never eaten frog legs before
Because, unlike the notorious anglo cuisine, they can make tasty stuff out of just about anything, frogs included.
So they eat frog legs fairly often.
>>77363587
I'm not joking either BTW, frog legs will be a delicacy during the economic collapse
>>77363587
>he only has one image macro
I thought you quit /pol/ last night
>>77362855
Or you can just go back to calling them Limes
>>77361076
Very Underrated
>>77360698
so, French people eat frogs?
is that what you're saying?
it seems like what you're saying to me is that French people eat frogs
