To have any chance of winning, the Vote Leave side needs to be ahead 55-45 *BEFORE* the fake postal votes are counted.
The Brexit side cannot be satisfied with 51% or 52% or even 53% as it's relatively easy to swing a 52-48 vote in the other direction with some bags of postal votes (they mysterious always seem to show up when needed). But flipping a 54-46 or a 55-45 vote is going to be A LOT harder.
