what is /pol/'s opinion on minimum wage in the US (or elsewhere)?
under present circumstances I don't see raising the minimum wage as a boon to workers, it will just displace them out of the jobs that remain
Minimum wage strikes me as sheer greed and laziness.
You think your work is worth more than minimum wage? Unionize and bargain for better wages.
Minimum wage is good for innovation. Forces companies to replace expensive workers with tech.
Fun fact the first romans was ruled by kings who was black. Tarquinius superbus the last black king of rome was overthrown by the whiteys who ruled rome for a couple of centuries. Until sulla the great black general overthrew the whiteys and exterminated them in the social war. Now blacks was running rome again and a whitey wasnt seen in the region again until it was sacked by alaric and the whiteys eventually killed or sent the black romans to africa. Julius caesar was black. And thats why we need democracy
It should be at 0 dollars

A fucking leaf
Either it has to be raised or inflation has to be brought under control

the minimum wage reduces the bargain power of minorities and other marginalized groups in society.
it should be abolished if you want to help them overcome their issues.
the left gets crazy when they hear that but its the economic truth about it.

it's not that simple, automation has become cheaper. there is no guarantee that an individual has a job worth contributing to society
It should be higher because it hasn't kept pace with inflation or whatever since the 90's, but it shouldn't be immediately doubled like the retards want because that's just going to destroy jobs.
there should be a basic incomes, then the wage wouldn't need a minimun
