are p orbitals degenerate?
>>77145309
It depends on the molecule
D and F are always
>>77145309
>trusting the quantum jew
No. Only the hybridizations.

I say samefag trying to b8 but im not sure.
>>77145309
in crystal chemistry, they are
They don't even exist faggot

>having six electrons occupy the same state
>not degenerate
Worst is benzene, like some damn orgy with them all whizzing around wherever.

Oh Kim, you so crazy.

Please refer to me by my preferred eigenvalue.

Are you real?

Conjugation is degenerate?
>>77145309
Octahedral and Tetrahedral are more degenerate than square planar, but nothing is as degenerate as the free ion.
GAS THE IONS, BONDING WARS NOW!!

THIS!
>>77145309
Yes, yes they are, unless they form pi orbitals in long carbon chains, then they're less degenerate.
Triple bonds between C and N need not apply. they're based.
>>77146559
>they're based.
How so?
Also what about the quadruple bonds?
>>77145803
>Different magnetic quantum numbers
>Same state
A fucking leaf.
Didn't know /sci/ was also on /pol/. Good to know.
>>77145309
As Kim said, it depends on the molecule. They are for Hydrogen.
Usually, if there's something to disturb the magnetic symmetry, it causes them to not be degenerate as they are oriented differently and will have different energies depending on their alignment with the total magnetic field.

If by "quadruple bonds" you mean hybridized sp3 orbitals in general carbon-carbon bonding those are fine.
C-N triple bonds are what make up cyanide, the most essential chemical compound if you want to eradicate the Jews. Plus the triple bond allows some free electron bonding (via free radicals) to the N. So that's a plus.
Here have an amine.
>>77147181
I mean quadruple bonds with delta orbitals like in re2cl8(2-)
>>77147395
I personally don't agree with what Kim said that d orbitals are degenerate, f orbitals however: still are. Because fuck f orbitals.
d orbitals are fine and by default make delta orbitals fine.
Here have a duck.
only complete p orbitals are degenerated
