What is the point of revising a Divine Book? It is made by our Perfect Creator, every alteration by mankind is by nature imperfect. We don`t have a bazillion versions and revisions, every played chinese whispers when you were young? The Bible could be considered a product of that, and we do not intend to alter Gods word, not by a single letter.

As for gays and stuff. Well some people are born with certain natural dispositions. In Islam, you are rewarded for resisting certain urges and comply to more natural tendencies. I personally don`t know how it feels like to be gay, but for those that are struggling with it, keep struggling! Don`t give in to it and remember that Allah will reward you for the smallest of inconveniences.
