It's funny how these people are turning people away from their entire side of the spectrum.They also made me against things like freedom of speech, as it inevitably ends up being used to kill off free speech. Likewise I m no longer socialist, as socialism is just paying for votes, and people dont care about national interests.
I would like to support such things, but my experience is that they dont work and just harm the country.

There really is no legitimate modern left. The so called "left" SJWs are just useful idiots for the marxists who control them. They're using communist tactics to remove rights, all in the name of "human rights" and for the "downtrodden masses", which is the same excuse they use every time. Really it's about implementing a totalitarian state, which is almost complete now. Especially in the UK. A lot of Europe is arguably worse than the USSR in terms of speech rights.

You have identified the main issue.
Currently, there is no credible American right wing. This means that the real debates now are between the Left and the Too Far Left. If there was a more moderate/sane right wing, we could have better policy and we would head a slightly Left direction rather than going full retard.
The Republican party is dead and will probably need to be transformed after this election. The problem is, that no sane career politician wants to have the voters that Trump has because they alienate way too many groups of people required to win. There is no way you can carry the racist part of the electorate and still get elected, because they will antagonize the very people you need.
These are also voters raised on Fox news. They do not care about information or rational discussion, their idea of a debate is four people trying to talk over each other while acting hysteric. Republicans have loved using this hysteric discourse. The problem is, when you condition your audience to disregard facts, all it takes is a guy like Trump to take your entire audience. The Right has dug its own grave.
My advice is that you actually are a perfect fit for the Democratic Party. Namely, the moderate wing. I highly encourage you to join the party and steer it clear from idiocy.
