It's illegal to carry and drink but it shouldn't be illigal to go to a club and carry or got to a bar and carry. Designated Drivers should be allowed to carry into the bars. Also laws preventing carry into bars and clubs only affect law abiding citizens. People that will carry drunk will carry drunk no matter what but a law abiding citizen that wants to carry for their own protection and isn't drinking wouldn't bring a gun because they follow the law.

I didn't know there were specific laws against carrying and drinking, thanks for the information. And I guess indeed the "if you outlaw guns, only outlaws have guns" is applicable here. Most clubs would probably order their bouncers to not let in people with firearms, though so the result is the same.
