Yellowstone experiences thousands of earthquakes every year. This was a normal occurence, if it even fucking happened. I couldn't even find anything referring to an earthquake aside from OP's comment, because if it did happen, it's that fucking irrelevant.

Yellowstone is set to erupt "soon". Considering timeframes in geological sense it basically means that in 20,000 years it will have erupted pretty much for sure: whether or not that's today or 15,000 years from now is equally likely. Still that means the chances it will erupt in 2016 are way larger than the chances of winning a lottery but people still play that or the chances of a random muslim having a suicide belt but you'd still rather not take the same elevator with one.
