Current weight loss update.
Still rocking the same weight as of the beginning of the year. I lost that initial 20 pounds in january and kept 15 of it off.
Doctor has been making some changes to medication. My blood sugar has been almost completely unmanageable. Insulin will likely be coming soon if this current medication cannot control it. I'm currently on a low carb, zero sugar diet to attempt to control it naturally. Its similar to keto but targeting 50 grams of carbs a day rather than under 20, to avoid ketosis. The doctor is concerned ketosis would result in kidney damage.
We're seeing some signs of congestive heart failure and kidney damage. we're taking medication to prevent those problems from getting worse. Mostly water pills and the like.
hormone therapy is working. the testosterone is allowing my body to build muscle for the first time in its lifetime. we're finally able to feel and find it on certain parts of my body. we've tried using those fat percentage machines but still have so little muscle we cannot get an accurate reading. we're hoping that'll change by the end of year.
still need to lose about 80 pounds to qualify for surgery but we're working on finding a surgeon who can and will work with me at my current size that's also within a travel-able distance. we're hoping for the best.
