Good people outnumber evil people so having everyone get a gun should be a good idea.
But then again stupid people outnumber smart people so things could very quickly escalate out of control if everyone had guns.
Maybe guns should be restricted to only people who graduated from highschool and have no violent criminal record or severe medical conditions that might hinder the ability to process information and make responsible decisions.
