I traded on BTC-E when it first came out for a good 2 years. I got really into trading via cryto currency and was lucky enough to hit the weed penny stock bubble in 2014.
I've never declared the 100k I made in BTC-E and I don't think the IRS cares because I drive a $2500 dollar car and live in a cheap apartment.

I used to have some of them.
Made only about 10-15k from that ride, but not bad for an investment of 140€
I was riding the waves up and down, but I was doind that because I saw a real reason for the climbs.
First it was the get rich quick hype and becoming known everywhere online.
Second was China and public adoption.
I've been looking at this recent climb and I can't justify it in any reasonable way.
There's no way in hell that the price can be 50% of the China hype, especially after the general public basically said no to Bitcoin and started seeing it as a scam.
The only reasons I can see for the climb, are Wall St. fuckery or China fuckery.
So big players messing with the market and I'm not smart enough to see where they're going with this.
BTC ride was fun, but it's over.
