While investigation will be done to see if the FBI overlooked something or did not give due attention to what they found, but keep in mind that when the FBI investigate it's usually conjecture and hearsay if it's not outright personal feuds by the informant. You can't justifiably enact ANY form of restriction or punishment if you are not able to find any evidence of threats. That would be a gross violation of due process.

My bother's house was robbed last year and his wife injured because he didn't have a gun to defend his family. He had clinical depression 15 years ago in college and spent a week in a psych hospital, barring him from legally owning a firearm. The FBI fully closed their investigations into complaints that were not all that serious (from an evidence viewpoint) to begin with. They did what they could do under the law, and no American citizen can be designated as 'guilty' without evidence. Remains to be seen if those investigations were botched or fully legit.
There is no evidence to suggest the domestic violence claims were ever reported previously. Again, if his ex-wife didn't tell anybody, it's a non-issue because nobody else even knew about it. If she did report it & there is credible record of it, then things will change a bit on that point.
