To issue a ban on guns in America would do nothing to stem the frequency of mass shootings, as you'd be taking a lot more guns from good, honest citizens than ones who want to hurt others. There are already many, many guns in America, if you try to ban them it won't stop criminals and would-be criminals from getting them, only make it harder for people to stop them from committing acts of terror.
But you don't hear about the mass shootings that were stopped before they came to fruition in the news, do you? Those situations get about a day of news coverage and then we all forget about them. Then, the minute someone attacks a liberal paradise with no guns, it's highly successful and garners weeks of non-stop news coverage. It's burned into the consciousness of Americans.
