Why the fuck would Hong Kong want to associate itself with us? We're fucked. PRC might not be ideal but in the long run it's a better bet than a country as self hating and cucked as the UK. Anyway Hong Kong didn't prosper through rule from London (which was full of socialists for most of 20th century) - it prospered because it was largely run by an appointed governor and efficient civil service which kept quite strictly to minarchist and laissez faire ideals.
