The bouncer, who was an off-duty police officer not just some random fag with a CCW, engaged the shooter which lead to the shooter taking hostages into the bathroom. It's entirely possible that if that bouncer/cop had not been there with his weapon, everyone in the club would've been killed.

This is the first time such public killing has happened out in the open in the US. Everything else has been organised schools, children, theatres, robberies etc.

I haven't read anything like this. By all of the stories, it looks like he got into the club, then started shooting.
It's entirely possible the shooter could've assembled his AR in the bathroom after concealing it in his backpack. A handgun was found on the scene as well.
