there are many reasons:
1. They formed their own communities which their own Jewish culture, different from the European, Christian culture. They even spoke different languages like Yiddish. Nobody likes people who are different.
2. Their relligion allowed them to loan money with interest to goyim. Usury was considered immoral in Christianity. This allowed them to become rich bankers, and nobody likes rich bankers.
3. Because they were different, they didn't have any moral obligation to stay loyal to the local governments. They were seen as potential backstabbers.

They are not "evil", but they will support their own kin before all else to the detriment of our society.
