This dude in my unit managed to sneak Pathfinder school onto his records despite not having any of the prerequisites required to even attend the course right before he got out of the Army, but he got caught because he started wearing the badge the last week or so he was with us and one of our Staff Sergeants called him out on it.
The unit retroactively corrected his records, but since he was already out of the military there was no punishment to give him unless they wanted to do lots of paperwork, and nobody really was willing to do it.

We are training, advising, assisting the Afghan Army. We ended the combat mission in 2014, but we have to help the ANA become a more effective force. They are very slowly getting there. The Taliban is definitely not dead. It would take many hundreds of thousands of Soldiers and an invasion of Pakistan to eradicate them completely, but they are not a declared threat to the US so we don't really care about them.
