Should Turkey join the EU? They are indeed helping Europe in the refugee crisis, but they are far from being democratic and the president doesn't seem to be in the same page as the rest of Europe.

Jesus christ, as if we don't already have enough kebabs around. Giving all Turks the ability to move freely within the EU would be a disaster, let alone letting their economy into the EU or god forbid the Eurozone.
It'd be like taking Greece and Romania, combining them, and then multiplying them in size - plus adding muslims into the equation. It'd be a mess.

They get the money alright, but they're only making an effort to stop migrants from getting into Turkey. The ones that go through the border are free to leave towards Europe.

Turks are not Europeans culturally. All those lofty ideals the EU was built on mean fuck all to them.
Much of the EU's shared funds go towards civil development. Eastern Europe and PIGS countries have already been dissed for receiving shitloads of development funds but not paying much to that shared coffers in return. Now imagine how much civil development money Turkey would be entitled to with its third world shithole rural areas.
If Turkey joined, the EU would become neighbours with the Middle East with all the security risks that entails. The largest fucking heroin smuggling route in the world would have its main distribution hub inside the EU.
Worst of it all, we'd be accepting a majority Muslim country, and with it, Islam would become a native religion to the EU. No more protests against mosques and minarets, no more burqa bans, no more shops without halal sections. Any talks about Europe's antique or Christian heritage would immediately get you labelled as a racist.
