The Wii became big and video games got normie, 4chan experienced exponential decline in quality, reddit was founded I think, the iphone was a big normie phone, and the beginning of the financial crisis.
After the Housing Crisis, the Millennial generation became apathetic and more susceptible to degeneracy. Why take care of yourself and prepare for the future when your generation is destined to be less wealthy than previous generations and with less job opportunities?
The best phone was released then. It still rules the market. Apple offered us a way to differentiate the poor shits who buy Android from the upper class who always get an iPhone.
