I was thinking about the confederate flag controversy while taking a bubble bath just today.
It can certainly be used as a racist prop, but I wouldn't say that it represents racism. It's more so a flag of rebellion. The southern states seceded because they were being taxed at much higher rates than their northern counterparts.
Slavery, arguably, was also a reason for the secession.
There is a wage gap, but that doesn't translate into racism. It a capitalist society, you get paid based on your skill/intelligence level.
Global warming is debatable. The world naturally warms up and cools down. It's been doing so ever since its existence.
