Climate-wise, feels like Arizona, >100°F in summer - I'm chilling under A/C right now; winters are snowy though. Financially, more expensive than in SE Asian countries, but cheaper than in Europe. Very secular, alcohol everywhere, pork is sold in several markets; also night clubs, rock bars, etc. Gotta know Uzbek and Russian to work (at least in Tashkent, the largest city), and English to have a successful job.
