If you knew a bit of history you will know that Andalucía was the metropolis of the empire and that influenced in how Europe saw Spain. Sevilla was full of European merchants (calles Alemanes, calle Génova...) that export this vision of Spain. The same happened in Cádiz. Andalucía was always influential in Europe in the arts (Barber of Seville, Carmen...) and other aspects. It was in the 19th century when Andalucía lost all of this after Spain literally plundered the whole region leaving the zone poor as fuck. In the early 20th century Andalucía had the potential of recovery but the land was owned by a bunch of motherfuckers that literally enslaved the people, they used to work 14 hours every fucking day, with a shit salary and usually they didnt get any because the catalonian owners said "they are too lazy"...And, yes from there comes the meme of the andalusian lazyness.
