Here's why it's going to get worse:

EU migrants are now competing with families for houses. The housing targets in the UK have been missed by something on the order of 50% every single fucking year for about 15 years. And even those targets are too low. This means that your average European migrant wants to go and live 4 to a house, instead of your average house being composed of two adult earners rearing two or more children.

The argument is that economically this is good for the economy. The problem is that it's Anglo-Celtic genocide. The reason for this of course is that 40% of Conservative MPs are landlords and by packing every house with workers, the UK turns into a giant battery farm.

The only thing stopping this from going full steam ahead is the parking crisis. There are not enough places to park cars. This stops houses from going to insane levels of occupancy, but guess what: it gets worse!

Driverless cars will relieve Britain of its parking pressures as statistically a car is only used for about 5% of its life, so the sharing of driverless cars is inevitable. This will mean that the whole of the UK can be turned into HMOs (Houses of Multiple Occupancy), which will give the Conservative overlords a giant golden goose that will never stop laying.

It will also lead to the total destruction of the social fabric of the United Kingdom as the quickest way to achieve this objective is to completely debase the indigenous population (333,000 a year now...lel) which is clearly happening right fucking now.

This is the master plan.

PS In the last general election, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors described UKIP's housing policy as "the only serious policy in this election for addressing the UK's housing shortage".

Say it all. Spread the word. Make sure that the young, disenfranchised cucks of the UK who think that Labour and Conservative are on their side know that it couldn't be further from the truth and that OUR NIGER is their only hope

I agree with the Chinese driving up property prices like crazy. Look at my flag. You guys are on par with us now.

A Chinese will be buying just for the land, tear down the house, and put a brand new one there.

A Muslim will get it gifted to them and destroy the neighborhood. Don't worry, lower prices are coming.
>>
>>76536762

It's already declining unfortunately. Of course, the strong pound is partly a result of foreigners buying up assets. The worst thing is, it's propping up our country's current account, but of course when the foreigners decide to sell up, shit loads of money will be leaving our economy

To be honest, the housing boom in London is going to implode soon anyway. No one on an average wage can afford to live there anymore and people are leaving that shithole in droves. Once demand starts to drop, all those investors treating houses like gold bricks will sell up all at once, creating a fucking huge crash across the country. Watch this space.

>>76537473
The steps are: 1) people cant afford the houses so start to move away where its cheaper. 2) This results in lower demand for houses so prices come down. 3) Investors who want prices to continue going up all panic and mass sell. 4) This results in huge oversupply of houses, forcing prices even lower. 5) Mass panic across the country and recession. That's your text book housing crash.
>>
I just bought a 2 bed flat in zone 2 London

let me tast those tears
>>
>>76538062
The problem with your theory is you think all the demand is domestic.

Its not, there is an endless supply of rich investors globally (from USA, China, Hong Kong, Germany) who will continue to buy and desire property in London.

Even during the 07-09 real estate crash (worst recession since the great depression) Housing prices in london fell by, what, 10%?

There is a lot of evidence pointing towards cities like london and new york real estate being immune to whims of the business cycle.
>>
One of the things I dislike about London demographics, and this is purely a subjective perspective, is that I literally don't find black girls attractive and neither it seems do most other white men or black men even. This means a whole group of girls just don't appeal to me, which means that the white girls that remain are in way higher demand as a consequence.
>>
>>76538062

That process is stifled when you have yuppies from the countryside willing to use their inheritance to pay for a shitty flat in London because it's cool. Plus bucketloads of Chinese, Arabs and Russians buying up houses and leaving them unnocupied
>>
I got very fortunate and inherited a lot of assets. Everything I inherited in London I put on the rental market. The sort of prices people are paying are astronomical, as you'll all well know.

What I can't get my ahead around is why people feel the need to flock to London. Wages are higher, but they aren't high enough to cover the huge increase in prices. Unless you do a job that requires you to be in London and London only (I can think of very few), I have no idea why you would live there. Never mind the idiots that go there with the idea of getting a job.

My brother is a corporate lawyer, for example. He moved out of London years ago and now lives in St Andrews. He's taken a pay cut, but in real terms he's a lot richer than he was in the capital. I run my own company and traditionally businesses in our sector were centred around London. Not anymore. We're elsewhere, and all the better for it.

Why would anyone doing a regular 9-5 job aspire to live there?
>>
>>76538573

I go to uni in Leeds and to be quite honest, coming from London it's boring as fuck here if you aren't a student. I'm willing to pay higher rent just to avoid living in some boring shithole. Perhaps it would be different if I were a country lad, I just can't deal with the lack of shit to do

I think a lot of people do it because you can climb the ladder easier, or at least it seems that way. Personally (and I know this sounds cucked as fuck) I feel like if I move out now I'll be "stepping down" and admitted defeat or something. If I move back home I'll be earning less money but saving the same amount, but I don't know I'll feel like I've failed or something. If I had friends or a girlfriend I may feel differently, but at least here I can be anonymous.
>>

>>76539160
It seems that way because all you ever get in London is people telling you third hand tales of some other guy that made it.

Look at the difference in wages between professions based in London, compared with Edinburgh or Bristol or Leeds or wherever. Unless you're in specialist brokerage, finance, security or national government there's no reason to be in London.
>>
>>76538516
>>76538568
Theres a lot of evidence that quantitative easing (cheap money to rich bankers), low interest rates and things like 'help to buy' offset the housing crash in 2008 and soothed worried overseas investors so they kept piling money in. London is one big money laundering operation. But, next time the housing market turns there wont be any more money to do those things anymore, hence why there'll be a crash.

Rich people wont keep there money in a place if its not making money anymore. They will sell up their empty flats and move the money elsewhere.

There were low rates and cheap money everywhere in the world (US tripled its money supply, canada had its biggest basis point cut in history, etc etc.) But that didn't stop shit from hitting the fan in most cities excluding new york, san fran, london etc.

No matter what happens to the UK economy, london for a chinese or russian business man is still an infinitely safer bet than their domestic market (in china you can't even own land, only lease it from the govt)

But that graph shows affordable(ish) house prices, no wonder they could afford to rise. The average property price in London is projected to be £1 million by 2030. Are you telling me, the average person is going to be able to afford that kind of mortgage when peoples wages haven't risen vs inflation in over 10 years? Trust me, your idea that Londons prices will 'infinitely' rise or 'infinitely' remain stable is a huge delusion mate. Its going to go pop and ill bet in the next few years.

The number of super rich people in the world is only increasing, they all see london desirably, and there is a finite supply of real estate in london.

You can't keep doing this, though, or the city ceases to function. If property and rent prices are constantly pushed up and up, you make it prohibitively expensive for people to live there or want to live there.

People with low to ordinary wage jobs will just have to commute.

Thats already how it is in vancouver, if you are a shop keeper or whatever you have a 1.5 to 2hr commute into and out f the city everyday.

Why doesn't your liberal PM tax high value properties owned by foreigners?
>>
>>76543047
Does this article go on to explain that they should read them LGBT children's books to more easily groom them into their eventual abuse at the hands of the elite (if they're cute)?

>just have to commute

Which costs thousands of years for a terrible fucking service that nobody wants. If NOBODY can live in London the city will be one of squatters, highly-paid suits and empty apartments.

> No one on an average wage can afford to live there anymore and people are leaving that shithole in droves.

I know I'm leaving. Fuck London. I mean, I like it as a place to visit but it's a shit place to actually live.

Hes too cucked.

Everytime the government tries all the chinese start screaming racist. And politicians are older and mostly own homes, and so do their donors, so they don't want to take any action which might erode the value of their incredibly valuable real estate.

The baby boomers are all very happy with this. The houses they bought for 100k are now worth millions, they dont want to enact policy to fix it.

Average houseprice in London is 500k (for a shoebox flat).

Reminder that this is what 500k gets you 6 miles from Edinburgh.

Is any party going to do anything about the chink investors in london?

I still remember the day a helicopter crashed into that thing and fell on my bus stop. Good times.

That you paid probably £500k+ to live in some stacked up pizza boxes in detroit 2.0?
>>
>>76543132
but that's fucking retarded though

>That's why I pay £1150 a month to live in a 1 bedroom studio in outer London
thats fucking sad mate

Of course it's a terrible model.

But in an increasingly unequal society its just a reality.

If you're poor or lower middle class, live in a shitty area and commute a long way to make lots of money for your chink overlords. Deal with t.

How's Manchester, bros? House prices, nightlife etc.?

I'm waiting to hear back from a job either there or in London. Might have to make a decision.

The immigrants all you people are arguing about in the EU referendum (pols, romanians, refugees etc) aren't even the ones causing the housing crises. Although they certainly don't help and are terrible for other reasons, mostly culturally.

Its multinationals from china, hong kong, saudi, russia etc. who have fucked up the market.

Manchester is actually pretty sound would choose it over London tbf
>>
>>76544530
fuck off kike
>>
>>76544530
nope EU migrants take up existing housing, and raise rental prices because demand is higher for a limited supply (also raising house prices in the process because buy to let is a more solid investment)

It's not rocket science.

You lost the argument when you said that mate. If the very people that make the city function cant afford to or don't want to work there then the city sinks and the property value goes down. Its pretty inevitable.
