Capitalism works because it keeps people fed and provides incentives for a high-production society, whereas Marxism (which HAS been tried, and failed) ensures no such things.
The closest thing to a successful form of Marxism is the Epicurean Commune, but that's strictly among friends/family/neighbors. The idea of stretching it across the breadth of a nation is just stupid, as history will illustrate.
