Why does that shock you? Overpopulation amongst the poor, the stupid and especially the Indian/African/Chinese is and will be a serious issue. If these peoples ever seek to seriously attain a Western quality of life, the burden they place on the environment and climate would be massive. Even at our current situation, climate change is already causing issues and our offspring will have to face ever shrinking glaciers and sea ice, which eventually will flood all coastal regions in the world.

No. Finnish has hardly any Swedish influence. Estonian has some, but in Finnish it's negligible.. The fact that Finno-Ugric languages are their entire own language group might be what's at fault. If you're used to Indo-European languages, it might be quite the leap. Migrants tend to have a lot of issues learning to speak Finnish fluently and it's most often really easy to tell apart a native speaker and one who's not.
