Latvia might had 5 years of economic boom before WW2 (because there was a huge demand for food supplies in Europe at the time, in particular in Germany).

I'm more concerned about the PRESENT though, about the fact that Estonia is far ahead of Latvia in many things (like GDP per capita, better infrastructure, median wages, HDI etc.).
