so, why is that Nazism is so resented and have such a stigma against it while at the same time communism also resulted in ethnic cleansing (the kulaks in ukraine for one) and far greater death counts when it came to labor camps/death camps? Not to mention that communism is also authoritarian and generally the communist nations were/are aggressive (some what like war communism).

all memes aside - the reason why Nazism is shunned is simply because Germany lost WW2. All of their crimes were made public by heavily exaggerated Western propaganda. Following post WW2 into the Cold War, communism had the same negative connotations about it as Nazism did, though to a much lesser degree. Perhaps it could be argued that this was due to a huge shift in or perhaps even a "breakdown" of morality and values among youth post WW2. Make no mistake though, the majority of people in the USA during the Cold War had no love of communism. Most of all people did not want another World War. Korea, Vietnam, Bay of Pigs, etc. were all highly disputed and angered the American people. I think a culmination of these reasons is why communism is not treated the same as Nazism

I honestly have no idea.

But what about how common it is to see people now (past the cold war mentality of better dead than red) call themselves communists or socialists but at the same time it would be taboo to call yourself a National Socialist or Fascist.

So this is all speculation and if anyone else knows these exact reasons then please step in.
Like I said in the previous post it has a lot to do with the winners and losers of war. Winners get to write the history. The Nazi party had a short life compared to the ideas of communism, as it was only active in Germany between 1920ish and 1945. The reason why many youth today would call themselves communists or socialists is I think due to again, a breakdown of nationalism as well as a general apathetic view of the current political system. The idea of the working class proletariat rising up against the capitalist swine of the world is a romantic thought. I think that mainly youth just want to see change through whatever means necessary.

Hmm, I like your point on youth just want to see change through whatever means necessary. I agree with a lot of your other points too. But adding on, if many want to see an uprising of the proletariat and the smashing of a political elite through often violent means, then what are all these cuck bernie supporters who just want to lie down and get fucked by a large communist government that can't even operate well. I guess what I'm trying to say is, many of these new socialist bernie fans are total cucks, how can many think they are some ferocious fighting force that can destroy the system?

>war communism
The Main goal of War communism was keeping towns and the Red Army stocked with food and weapons because of the collapse of the economy. Stop spreading Capitalist lies
>>76495587
Yeah and it also provided the building blocks for an aggressive war economy.

>war economy
Any war economy is going to be aggressive.
>Yeah and it also provided the building blocks
War communism didn't even last long in the soviet union, it was discarded by lenin in favor for N.E.P

It's the same reason why people vote in the first place - to feel like they have a say in the political process.
Bernie appeals to a lot of people, of course his core supporters are young college students. People who are buried in student debt, working minimum wage jobs, can't afford cars etc. I know /pol/ has this idea that universities are breeding grounds for cucks due to the ultra PC vanguard which has taken hold throughout the college system. Most important it's people wanting change, so they think Bernie could give them that change.

Yeah I agree, my point was that the soviet union was just as aggressive as Nazi Germany, the problem was nuclear weapons meant that the only wars that could be fought were mostly through proxy.
