That's not what is happening though, illegal aliens (criminals) are being hired for unskilled factory jobs for example, because they are disposable, not part of a union and most importantly are paid far less than minimum wage.
This gives businesses incentive to hire illegal workers rather than legal workers because of the low wage, subsequently driving down minimum wage and taking jobs away from legal US citizens and giving the jobs to criminals.
