If you are math genius it doesnt mean you know jack about politics.

To understand politics you need experience in it and I would guess most people get their experiences through brainwash today which is not exclusive to stupid or poor.

Anyone with half a brain would realize that Trump only goes after specific people that he thinks he can beat and get some benefit out of it, the "thin-skinned" argument may resonate with political retards but for anyone else it's obvious what Trump is doing. This Tao guy should be able to get it.

For the smartest man alive he hardly made any arguments as of why Trump is not fit for the presidency.

>muh common knowledge wah wah wah

NOT AN ARGUMENT
>>
>>76263683
I can already poke holes in this guy's logic and I just skimmed it.

The three requirements in the Constitution aside(born in US, >35 years old, lived >14 in US), the only "qualifications" for being President of the USA is simply that you are voted into power. That is the whole point of democracy, that the people vote for the nominee whom they think is most qualified to run the country. There are literally no other kind of requirements or some formal defined list of qualifications a president should have.

Each individual has different ideas on what qualities or qualifications a president should have, and they vote for the one that represents their personal ideals best.

So saying Trump isn't qualified to be the President is merely a reflection of his personal subjective opinion, and like any American, he can vote how he likes.

Tao is just an extreme autist

All high IQ faggots have some sort of autism in their brain that enables them to score higher on a progressive raven's matrix test. Nothing more, nothing less. Just because you know how to prove mathematical conjectures doesn't mean you know how society functions. Also citing John "current year" Oliver is not a bright idea.

>but you see if we actually open all borders world peace would be achieved, it says so in my calculations.

This is why some people should stick to what they're good at and leave the politics to the grown ups.

>Not explaining how Trump is somehow unfit for president and instead riding on his IQ as some way of making people think his opinion matters.
It doesn't, because so far, no good arguments against Trump can be found. This dog eater's reputation means nothing to me.
>>
I'm so sick and tired of intellectuals looking down their nose at people in contempt. There is a comment in the article that points this out precisely, that the unspoken idea behind these people's words is the majority of the American electorate is not qualified to vote and should not be allowed to, that only the intellectual elite and tenured professional thinkers who espouse all the correct opinions and talking points should have a say in the direction of the country we all share.
>>
>>76263683
>Important note: I anticipate there will be any number of “tu quoque” responses, asserting for instance that Hillary Clinton is also unfit to be the US president. I personally do not believe that to be the case (and certainly not to the extent that Trump exhibits), but in any event such an assertion has no logical bearing on the qualification of Trump for the presidency. As such, any comments that are purely of this “tu quoque” nature, and which do not directly address the validity or epistemological status of Proposition 1, will be deleted as off-topic.

This. I'm hedging a Donald Trump presidency will be just like how he runs his companies. He, as president, gets goals and okays projects. He will hire the best and brightest and let them do their job.
>>
>>76263683
So basically he rationalizes the fact that he thinks Donald Trump can't be president but people seems not thinks the same, by believing it's a common knowledge (ie a truth, not an opinion) and people actually know that but they act like they don't know because they don't know other people know.

Then he seems to think that writing his little blog article will reveal the truth and everybody will side with his opinion. This is just not how people behave. They are not logical machine that computes truth from inputs, including psychological flavors with belief and knowledge into logic isn't enough to get a human behavior. I studied that, it's still not enough partial and relativist, that just doesn't work.

It's slightly because of how far down both of them are.

If you were to position them from "best" to "worse" and truncate the thing overall [i.e. if you've got a scale from 1-100 but results only go 1-20, so you cut off 21-100] then Trump would be around 20 and Hillary around 1, significantly further ahead

But if you actually look at things properly, with the scale being 1-100 then Trump is closer to 1 than 100. Hence "slightly"
>>
>>76263683
0/10 you got me to click the link and waste my time, and since I've already gone this far, here's this post.

Summary:

proposition: Trump is not qualifed. Claimed proof: everyone knows it to be true and romney and hillary says so.

On the premise Trump is playing dumb: "it" suggests only a select few can know there's intelligence behind Trump's speeches. Conclusion: Trump is unqualified and everyone knows it.

>>76270579
Again, both of them are a million miles down.

When compared like-for-like [sticking to the arbitrary example 1-20 vs 1-00 scale] Trump is 19 points ahead of Hillary. That's significantly better, but it's still a massive 80 points from "good enough", which is closer to Hillary than to goodness.

Announcing an opinion in public that demonstrates to others that you agree with them and are therefore a good person.

The left has their own version; The "Dog Whistle". A way to demonstrate to racists that you agree with them without explicitly stating a racist opinion.

An example of a dog whistle would be someone announcing on twitter they believe in borders.

>commonsense answers
What everyone seems to think. Somehow their solution will work. The idea that they believe there's a magic bullet shows they're already wrong. There is no surefire way to make everything work, no genius who can't do everything right. But there are educated guesses. A person who has the experience, knowledge and time tested skill will have a better chance of doing it right than someone who doesn't.

This isn't a debate about which politican is right or wrong. It's about the fact that it's far less likely the public can make decisions better.
>>
>>76272425

Not necessarily.

There is also the issue of compulsory military service (draft). Those that might be compelled to serve and die in defense of the country will have a vested interest. Likewise some of the simple requirements of citizenship in some countries (having to live and pay taxes in a nation for x amount of time).

This is why listening to "undocumented citizens" is absolutely worthless. They have no interest in the nation.

Likewise listening to women - They aren't eligible for the draft and as such can be happy making decisions where they won't be expected to pay the price for these decisions.

>>76272933
>The average life is worth 5 million.
Some people's lives are objectively a liability to the economy.
>>
>>76272510

No, you're wrong.

For instance - We have had a problem in Australia in the last ten years with alcohol related violence in the city center of Sydney.

Many experts gave endless opinions and implemented many policies. None of them worked.

The common sense answer that had been suggested by layman for years and that has finally objectively succeeded - Closing down bars and clubs so there are no alcohol affected people in the city to commit violence.

The public, often those who have no vested interests, can make decisions better, because they aren't operating under the need to please certain special interests.

For instance - Look at Hillary and Trump on Syria.

Hillary's plan has led to mass chaos and destabilized the globe. Much like Bush's.

Trumps plan is the commonsense approach most people would have adopted - Don't get go and destabilize nations.

Hillary's and Bush's plans differed in many aspects, and they were organized by experts. But they were organized under the assumption that they would find a way to serve niche interests while affecting them as minimally as possible.

Not only that, the public will make choices that serve THEIR interests, which is what politicians in democratically elected nations are meant to do, and which is why both Romeny and Hillary have struggled to secure their base.

>How many layman

It was voiced repeatedly and loudly enough by local citizens to the point that authorities eventually responded by granting it a testing period.

It was massively effective. It essentially ended the problem.

(of course - here's where it dovetails into what I'm talking about - it ALSO effective ended a massively prosperous business and tax base - The authorities and experts were always operating under the mission of maintaining those industries while attempting to end the vioelnce - the public, who had no vested interest in that - went with the immediate obvious answer).

Same goes with the War On Terror.

>Special interests is a meme made by pundits.

Nope.

>Politicans just care about their approval ratings.

Also nope. Otherwise they could take many measures which would solidify stronger approval ratings. See Hillary and her failures in the middle east.

Her base has no interest in clandestine nation destabilization. In fact they're quite opposed to it. But she has other interests to serve. Same goes for Bush. So any decision she makes has to be balanced between serving those interests AND appealing to her base. It's a tough job. It's also why Trump was so successful up front - He could appeal directly to the public and directly to their interests without fear of offending his establishment benefactors.

Bernie is similar.
