I think you're right, if any kind of large-scale insurgency/civil war broke out, the US would never recover. There wouldn't be neat North-South lines, the thing would be fought absolutely everywhere. It is impossible for the US to maintain military installations in 170 countries or whatever and also occupy the entire United States. Have US been destabilized at least once ? Nope. This is why I think you are overly optimistic about it. If martial law will happen people will try to bring everything back into equilibrium. It will look like this:
1. All of the far right and far left will be shot.
2. In order to secure further outbursts you will be stripped of weapons.
3. Slowly but inevitably there will be laws taking more and more of you freedom in exchange for your security.

I grew up in Berkeley and San Francisco. Believe me, I know lefties. American lefties anyway, are mostly soft and weak. It's the Euro-sponsored radicals, anarchists and psychos who worry me a little. They find the dregs of society and nurture them.
But again, most of our media are fucking whores. IF Trump manages to get elected, they will follow the $$$ regardless of what they believe. Zealots will be pushed down and laughed at. I saw it all in the 80s, which was the backlash to the wild leftism of the 60s. Society tends to be cyclic, the old pendulum swing. Each time it does seem to get more violent--that's another aspect which does worry me, I admit. But the outcomes seem consistent throughout the last century plus.
Another thing is that as people age, they become more conservative. It is literally true of about 75% of everyone I grew up with. Few have clung to the extreme liberalism of their youth. These new student radicals and SJWs are gonna get the real world in the face like a ton of bricks going at sixty miles an hour. By the time they hit forty or fifty, many of their ideals will have dropped by the wayside. Yeah, I'm cynical. I've seen it all before. My parents' generation were the same.
Understand, I do know we are in deep shit right now. This is as bad as it's ever been and beyond that. Our great mistakes were that we thought Communism was vanquished and that all Jews were okay. Muh Holocaust
and all that bullshit. And then along came permissive fucking parenting and collapsed education thanks to the goddamn Boomers which resulted in the absolute worst generation of brainwashed, retarded liberal youth activists EVER. So yeah, it's bad. But I believe we may be able to pull through.
There will be fits of violence in the US throughout the next year but you guys, please watch out for yourselves, because sooner or later, it is going to be much worse there. WWIII as a hot war will begin in Europe.

I have to agree with you there. The percentage of us here that actually see the situation is tiny at best. I find the vast majority of normies I talk to never even think or consider any of this at all. They all focus on being comfy and will literally say to me " I don't pay attention to any of that as it upsets me to think of it" I think we've been trained to completely ignore politics for the most part and If something happens it will catch everyone completely by surprise.

He's not entirely wrong, though. The underlying mass psychology of the US is not something to be discarded. It might not surprise you that some of the people who engineered the subversion of the USSR are currently engaged in an attempt at domestic regime change via the Trump campaign, and a lot of the pieces that were somewhat chaotically moved into rough alignment over the past several years are being successfully leveraged.
Don't underestimate what we will do if push should come to shove. They're going to need a crisis of sufficient magnitude that martial law won't be necessary. And the moment communications drop is the moment everybody will know it's time to get started.
