with respect to games. yes most are. a few actually require a level of thinking to be skilled at them. Such as a away of thinking similar to if you play chess. Games such as Homeworld (x,y,z coordinate maps unlike starcraft which is 2d) thinking , or CSGO (reactions and planning).
However it doesn't take a genius to see that many games today are just rehash quick reward systems to trap the mind into thinking it is productive.

Video games are worse than drugs. Most drugs are actually harmless and have no negative long term affects. Video games stagnate social development and lead to lazy, unmotivated, and socially maladjusted individuals. Video games should be heavily monitored to prevent degeneracy. 8 hours a week should be the max allowed although this should be debated by everyone to find an agreed upon time. This could be monitored by forcing future video games to use a cloud service that monitors game usage time.
