Bernie focused all of his energy on appealing to millenials and academics which are groups that statistically do not vote. He should have focused more on the working class, which would make sense seeing that he wants to improve infranstructer, and has done so in the past as the mayor of vermont. He also idolizes a time in the 1950s where the corporate tax rate was 90%, and he should have expounded on the fact that his policies are not as radically different as they may seem.
Honestly i would like bernie more if he wasnt such a leftist cuck. He wanted to improve education and infranstructure, but focused on groups that dont give a fuck about either of those things.

Here's the real answer:
He had an uphill battle in that he had close to zero name recognition outside Vermont while his major opponent is known globally. He was also fighting against a coronation process for Hillary, orchestrated by the media and the DNC. To just what extent there was anything shady going on, I really don't know. There have been litigated cases of voter fraud that revealed fraud in favor of Clinton though.
